I was playing against a French clan last night. They were pretty good. They were quite vocal, but seemed decent enough. The only irritation came when an American clan came on and started bigging themselves up. I got matched with the French clan. It was my last game last night, on Crossfire. We got B and they never took it back. We ended up winning fairly comfortably, que them rapidly pulling out again at the end of the game.

I don't know why it was doing that! I only had the volume turned up halfway.

At least you can hear me properly now.

I think playing GTA IV is probably a mild corruption in comparison to hanging round in the COD4 death lobby with us.

Anyone getting lagg alot these days when playing this game ? it has been bad for about a week now appart from the odd game. Getting fed up of firing at someone with trhe m16 five times for them to turn round and shoot me once.

^^ I had a few problems last night. Shipment was a nightmare. Grenades flying everywhere and plenty of lag made for a very disappointing game. First time that I've actually had a negative kill/death count on that map.

Things got better as the night went on though, and had no lag to speak of today when I went on.

Finally got around to getting a proper HDMI cable to patch the xbox to the TV with. Vast improvement, and probably coincidence, but the first game I played after putting the HDMI cable in place, was on Bog, and I beat my high kill streak. Previously 23, now 24, but the annoying thing was, it was an unbeaten 24. I could have gotten even more if the game had lasted a few more minutes!!!!

OK, I'm definitely starting to notice this a lot more now. I wish they would put up dedicated servers. I know they won't because of cost, but it's becoming unbearable now.

Where's the enjoyment of online gaming if you can't get people on the same signals.

Probably due to the fact that most of America is still in bed.

One game last night, some B@stard teleported. One minute he's on one side of the screen and I'm plugging away at him, the very next second he's at the opposite side of the screen putting rounds my way. Needless to say I ended up with a toe-tag. Not impressed. Grrrrrr!

It's quite funny at times, in the last 30 seconds of the game, me and an opponent were circling trying to kill each other, but because of the lag, our bullets wouldn't hit, and we were sort of jumping about a foot or two.

^^ I had that a few times last night as well. Funny, and nowhere near as irritating as the game ending either in the midst of you rinsing someone or just before you pull the trigger, again, which happened a few times last night.

All in all, a frustrating weekend's play really!

Its annoying sometimes, but we both saw the funny part of what we were doing.
