Well, having played over both the PSN and XBOX Live networks qute extensively this weekend I have to say the difference in quality is quite pronounced.
I'm probably going to get bashed by the Sony fan boys, but I have to say that in my experience the PSN is still inferior to Live. I was playing COD4 on both machines so I feel that I got a good neutral benchmank to judge the two systems, but I found the PSN very frustrating. When I managed to get into a game it was Host blah, Connection blah, Server blah and then I'm back out of the game again - very annoying. I'm not saying XBOX Live is perfect, it's not, but it certainly feels like a better platform to me. Well thats my rant over with... (PS - Minni, I've borrowed Burnout if you want someone to crash into )And I would absolutely LOVE someone to crash into Dragon

This can't be good...
I've been getting "please remove and clean the game disk" type error messages while playing COD4 - the disk looks alright, some slight scratches, but not much damage - so I'm starting to wonder if 8 months of solid multiplayer hasn't burned out the disk or if the cd drive/laser reader is now on its last legs. |

I didn't mean I was getting the messages right that second - I meant last week and over the weekend.
Mind you, maybe they could add that feature to the 360Voice website "I'm not feeling well Drag0n, please get me fixed" |

The errors are hosts quitting the game, not a network problem (lag is a p2p problem anyway) so there are a fair share of plonkers who just quit the game all the time. To say Live! is better than PSN based on people quitting is a little unfair.

The thing about this game is, when you don't play for a short while, you're fooked when you try and make sense of it all again!
![]() I will definitely need to get some practice in before I go on this weekend. Oh Oh that reminds me! *jumps over to Jedis thread*

You do realise that the host end game problems are nothing to do with the PSN or the playstation?
This thread will not turn into one of them other stupid threads all about the PS3 and its pluses and the 360 and it's minuses. He came on here and told friends what he had thought of his experience. He wasn't trying to start anything. Please drop it for the sake of harmony guys. |
