I'll definitely give Hardcore HQ a chance but I'm still disappointed at the lack of Hardcore Domination, surely that's an obvious one?!

A lot of team killing happened on Halo 3. Bungie has combated this by putting in a "Boot Player" option. It just came up as a window and gave you the choice of Boot or Forgive. If you chose Boot, it would boot the player and everybody in their party. Forgive just gives them another chance. I used to forgive once and if they done it again, I would boot.

Maybe IW could learn something from this and get rid of the floor rocket team killers.

Only time where team killing is acceptable is when you're on last stand and there's no enemies about.

^^ did the option only present itself if you were team-killed? Or was it a general function? If it was general then I can envisage quite a few bootings happening through spite more than anything. One of the problems with Live in general is the feedback/reputation functionality. Every piece of negative feedback I've ever had has come on the back of rinsing someone too many times on CoD4.

Why on earth would you want to boot the whole of the opposite team? That would make for very short games on COD. It's hard enough to get a full length game out of people without actually causing the entire team to disappear due to one random.

I meant that all your friends on your team got booted. It works to an extent, but personally I think it works too well on a game that's easier to TK like COD. I think that booting an individual for doing 3 kills in a row is okay, but not the whole team.

Yes Russ but what if they're not part of that clan, but just joined in randomly. It's hardly fair to kick the entire team because of that one person?

What about if the friendly team killer is on YOUR team....

For a TEAM killer, does the option come up for THAT team to forgive or boot. Or is it the other team that have the choice of booting that one particular person off of the team or booting the entire team.....

I am not good explaining things, so please bear with me. It is to do with the party you have formed before connecting to the lobby.

Example:
If I was playing on my own and I killed my fellow team-mates, I would get booted. But I invite 2 friends, all 3 of us would be taken from the game and the rest of the team carries on without us.

It comes up the moment you are "betrayed" by your teammate.

I don't think that group booting would work in a game like COD 4 IMO. I was just remembered of recent popular games that offered a booting system, and I came up with Halo; my most addictive game before I found COD.

^^ Don't see anything wrong with having that functionality then. Once or twice is forgivable, but if they're consistently doing it we should be able to do something about it.

Right, I have it again now. I haven't got the map pack yet and I'm too skint to afford it till next Wednesday, so Minnimo and anyone else who I've added from here so far, I'll hold off from joining your games till then. As best I'm aware, you can't join a room of people who do have the map if you don't have them, and I'm sure all you guys here got them the day they were released!! I might see if I can do the rest of the levels on Veteran now, although I'll probably just get annoyed and give up (again).

I don't agree with that system.

I do believe there should be something implemented if it happens more than 3 times within the first min then that player should be kicked. Because that makes it obvious they're doing it in badness or at the very least shouldn't be playing the game because they're so bad that they've managed to kill there own team within that first minute 3 times.

To be honest, there's only 1 map I really like on the new map pack so I'll still play with you if you like. All it means is that when we connect those maps won't come up in rotation.

I was about to say the same thing, I'm not too fussed on the new maps either.

Maybe anyone who gets more than -50 or -100 in a hardcore game gets a special icon next to their name? A mark of shame for the next week. That way we can identify the biggest idiots and boot them off.

Anyone who team kills their character should turn bright pink for 5 minutes so they're easily spotted. Or their guns should only shoot flowers and butterflies.

To those that were on at the weekend I had a good time guys (and gal!) Even though my playing and therefore score were shocking, I still enjoyed it!

It was nice to have a full team again. Even if we DID have the most abysmal record EVER on Ground Wars Domination!!!!! It nice to come back to cod earth with a bump! Made me (and I think a few others ) appreciate the wonderfulness that IS....HARDCORE!!!
