Have been playing online for a good hour or so. Managed to move onto Prestige just for a little challenge and it just got boring staying put.

Been playing alot of groundwars alately, got myself a 30 kill streak yesterday without even realising! my K/D ratio has been flying up since iv'e started playing more tdm and domination. Now at 1.44 with nearly 30,000 kills

1.48 with about 75,000 kills nearly now (I think).

Went on Groundwar myself last night for the first time in ages. I used to play that most almost exclusively, but now I find it too frenetic. Seems to be a case of kill someone and then get killed yourself pretty much instantly. It doesn't really suit my style of play at the moment. I'm trying to complete all of the tasks for the sniper rifles so I can get a golden Dragunov.

Got 75 headshots to go on the first and fourth rifles and then I'm done. Got red tiger for the Barrett last night. Switching from that to the worst sniper rifle on the game again took a bit of getting used to!

When they doing double XP again? Or was that just a one off months ago?

Just whenever they decide to announce it. They never actually state that it will be an ongoing thing. They've done it a couple of times. I know people here were hoping for double xp when they release the new modes.

I think my K/d ratio would be alot higher if i played tdm and domination more,the problem i have is that i love hardcore Search and destroy so damn much!

My average score in ground wars is usually around 35 kills and 15 deaths.

My average score in Search and destroy is around 5 kills and 3 deaths(because i refuse to camp,even if i'm the last guy left)

I went to prestige last night, now this morning I'm back to level 53

Is it me or is the COD 4 servers getting worse and worse. It's coming to the point that sometimes it doesn't register the fact I have earned achievements or weapon upgrades and have to do them again

^^ Been on a mission over the weekend to complete the sniper rifle achievements. Finally did it, the golden Dragunov looks pretty good! The last achievement I had was the headshot one for the worst sniper rifle in the game. Now I know it's not that accurate, and it was a real pain in the @rse, but linking in to the above comments, I swear half of the time I was getting 5/10 headshots per game and it was crediting me with 1 or 2. Incredibly frustrating, but at least it's paid off. Whilst the golden rifle looks great, it's hardly inconspicuous though!

Quite happy with my stats. A k/d ratio of 1.49. The only one that's lacking is wins. I'm at 0.64, largely because if I don't like the map, I don't play it. Think I've played Bloc once in about 3 months. Last night because I was concentrating on the sniping achievement it seemed that every map that came up was Shipment, Wetwork, Showdown or Vacant.

Still, gold cross 55, golden Dragunov, so I think I'll take a short break for now and finally get around to starting Bioshock!

The servers on COD are getting to be really bad. There was a point we were playing at the weekend, and our WHOLE team, including people that weren't in our clan, had only 1 bar. The whole of the OTHER team, had full green bars. I have never seen anything like it.

The sad thing is, as much as they're working on additional content, what's the point if you can't enjoy it? I have never seen anything mentioned relating to servers, so I doubt they'll be doing anything about it, that or they can't. Shame though given the amount of people that still play on it.

Ah well.

I think it's down to how many Americans are in the room. If there's more of them than Europeans then one of them will always be the host. IW don't have dedicated servers, it's all run through the hosts 360 (AFIK) so the closer you are to the host (geographically) the less lag you should have. This assumes that the hosts connection doesn't suck. I swear some of them are still on dialup.

Americans tend to play Hardcore, where lag is even more of an issue . I tend to connect quicker to the other modes & have better connections, even though there are way fewer people playing so maybe you need to branch out more.

I definitely prefer domination to HQ's though. For HQ's you need a bloody good team behind you. I'm sorry there's just no two ways about it.

Playing it on your own you may get lucky and fall in with people who know what they're doing. 90% of the times though, this isn't the case and makes that mode unbearable.

Domination, though you do need to have a team that know to run past that bloody first flag they've captured, really isn't nearly as bad.

So there I have opinions on them therefore I must have played them
