Plus last night was the first night I have actually enjoyed being team killed. Mainly because I was doing it back. And me thinks I may have made two new 360 pals out of it. You two when you get around to adding them! Better than bad repping them.
I will..But will we ever play with them again?

I was in absolute stitches in that last bog match.
Overall I had a brilliant night last night.
Well..I haven't got eyes in the back of my head..

anyways Good Luck!!

Have you got all the golden guns yet Minni?

Is that the real reason you're on holiday this week?

Hell no.

Just got my first red tiger which I'm very proud of. I've got them before but never aimed for them.

This time I'm aiming for them and they mean a lot more

If we keep playing S&D you'll be there in no time.

Minus our new buddies of course

This prestige I am mostly loving LMG's.

Although they are not the best for HC.

So does anyone else think IW are fed up with COD4 now?

I guess they are now fully focused on COD6 and aren't going to waste a lot of time on tinkering with 4 anymore.

Are the new game modes (with patch?) and possibly a couple of maps based on the design-a-level competition winners the last we'll see of new COD4 content?

It's a shame really as if they had a small DLC team I'm sure they could finds loads of relatively inexpensive ways of changing COD4.

For instance - most arenas have buildings that are currently inaccessable but adding rooms to those structures would really change how people use the environment and must be cheaper than creating a whole new map. Additionally moving flags and bases to different locations would mix things up too and again that must be cheaper than writing a whole new arena.

^^ Given that CoD4 online has survived GTA4, Battlefield: Bad Company etc, it'll be interesting to see whether it sees of the competition of CoD: WaW. I'm wondering how many people are going to be put off the new game because of the WWII setting, lack of UAV/Red Dot/Heli strikes etc.

TBH, I can see CoD4 surviving online until CoD6 comes along. I think that to a certain extent IW have backed themselves into a corner by making Modern Warfare so damned playable/addictive. It'll be interesting to see what the setting is for CoD6, presumably another one set in the modern era, otherwise, I can, again, see people sticking with Modern Warfare.

Re the maps, I think we'll probably get one more set of maps, and then tweaks to the game types etc but that'll be it. At least in the short term. Anything more than that will most likely depend on how it fares against CoD: WaW and CoD6. If after those are released it's still up there in terms of popularity, then they may take a different view, but for now, I'm not too concerned. There's still plenty of playability there.

If anything, I'd trade off new maps in place of them putting some dedicated servers in. Lag, at times now, is just ridiculous.

I just spotted this in an old fourzerotwo post and thought I'd bring it to the groups attention:-

Rules for how to play “Mike Myers” or “Manhunt”.

One player is “Mike Myers” and can only use a Shotgun, Pistol and Knife. Nothing else, he goes on the bottom team.

Everyone else in the room goes on the top team. The goal is to hide around the map (sniper class helps) and survive long enough to be the last man alive.

Mike Myers will go around finding / killing everyone until there is one person left. Once you’re the last man standing, you’re allowed to attempt to kill “Mike”, but only using a knife, a pistol and stun grenades.

Maybe we can give that a try in a private match the next time lag gets to bad for a normal game?

That sounds something similar to what we used to do. We just never named it.

It was a case of VIP or Hide and Seek.

You don't reckon you guys will get bored sitting waiting to be "found"?

Everyones connection was really iffy last night.

Arrow was watching me on a game of S&D and saw what I did, so I knew it wasn't just me. I was literally walking in to walls. Something similar to when just before the message pops up saying the host has ended the game....except this host wasn't ending it, and the bars were showing green.

I have no idea what was going on...

Wishful thinking.....do you reckon there could be some tampering going on by TPTB getting it ready for new additions?.....Nah I didn't think so....

Possibly

It is similar to what we were doing although the last survivor being allowed to take down the killer is a twist we didn't have. Maybe if we made the games 10 minutes max that would stop it being too boring?

In theory you don't have to hide in a corner when playing this, you could run around though there's more chance of you being shot.

Of course we'll never get it to work because I don't think we ever managed a match where everyone managed to followed the rules.

Pistols only match = I'll use a rocket launcher and an LMG.
Crawling & Knives only = I'll throw grenades or run up behind you.

Yet you still managed to kill someone, was impressive

It was indeed odd, as everyone in that game seemed to be from the UK and well all had really good connections according to the green bars. It was also like after midnight so most people would be off the net in the UK so it could not have been down to too many people in our local areas on surfing/downloading.

When CoD3 came out I bought it but I still played CoD2 online. If CoD:W@W is nothing short of amazing online then I'll drop back to CoD4.

It WAS a lot of fun. There was a few times I couldn't see the screen for the tears in my eyes from laughing so much. That's a good night Poor Orzie though
