You don't show up as a red dot, but there's still Kill Cam, I think.
Although if you're playing on Hardcore mode there's no Kill Cam so you're completly undectable.

Spent about 3 hours playing Hardcore Team Deathmatch and Hardcore Search and Destroy last night.

Absolutely brilliant night with a lot of wins due to some clever tactics and great calling out help from Chris and Andy (Feed the Reaper here )

Wouldnt recommend it to the average casual gamer tho because it is a lot harder and the games are less "pick up and run around" types and a lot more "stealthy approaching, 1 shot = 1 kill" stuff.

If ever you want to play a proper tactical game and get a lot of Rank points per round then Hardcore is good for that.

PS - Xbox Live was back up and running like a dream last night and only 1 game had a slight lag for 10 seconds so that was brilliant. Here's to many more nights of fantastic playing

Bugger 1 kill shot... i tried to do that last level, 'Mile High Club' on Veteran.. i couldnt get passed the first bloody cabin!! And they expect you to do it in about 50 seconds???!!! Takes longer than that to kill the first lot of bad guys!!

Absolutely. Very few people seem to flank in the games I've played. It's a basic military manoeuvere and a great way to rack up kills quickly rather than charging straight in and hoping for the best.

Distraction worked very well last night too...... 4 team members attempt to plant the bomb at DEFEND A while the other 2 team members head for DEFEND B lobbing smoke bombs and stun grenades around it and firing loud noisy guns around the bomb point causing a rush of enemies flooding to DEFEND B to join the battle and defend it...... all while the bomber plants the bomb on the undefended DEFEND A and lets his other 3 escorts take up positions around it to defend it.

Meant sacrificing a couple of men but it resulted in a lot of overall Wins.

Finally got it working and with my proper rank, had a whole heap load of amazing games

Came inside the top four in every game I played so as I'm adapting to the game I can see I'm getting better at it too.

Claymores, soldiers best friend :P So hilarious watching the enemy run into your claymore just as he/she thinks they're going to knife you lol .. classic

I expected to do better than most on the maps from the beta, but jesus, i'm having good fun playing deathmatch games and not dying! lol

I've died often because of the crappy guns you start out with, but i'm happy i got the ones i want now.

Good games last night.
Finally managed to find a bit of form, although only Minnimo was around to witness it.

Played it for the first time last night (first time on Xbox live since signing up)

I was crap for about an hour and all I did was die in the open and got the feeling everyone else was having a good laugh at my ineptitude. However then it clicked and I turned into a one man sniping machne and shot up four ranks in the next hour and whooped some ass!

Never imagined multiplayer would be that quick, responsive and easy to use.........I'm hooked!!!!!

I've seen the light, to think I've had the Xbox 360 for nearly two years now and only just signed up!

posh - get gears of war online - lots of fun!

Gears of War is neither Quick nor Easy to get into online.

COD4 last night was great, loads of Hardcore Search and Destroy and Hardcore Team Deathmatch games for 3 hours solid, getting some well earned kills.
Then I played regular Ground War afterwards to chill out from the tension and had a blast.... finished top with 39 kills in one game

Night times never come quick enough for me!!!

Thats a point.. i reckon in future updates, the ability to choose the time of day would be good!! Imagine playing Crash at night? I think it would be good!!

I think the game has some pretty good levels at the minute but why did they even put night vision in multiplayer if there is no level that requires it? Imagine a level that was so dark that every one would 'have to' use night vision, not only would it be cool seeing all the laser sights flicking about, but flash bangs would be awesome as they would render anyone blind.

I gave up on the mile high club.

He runs past most of the gaurds,but 'damn' he's fast. Maybe i should PM him to join the 'DS' clan

.....which brings me to another subject,do you think that in the future, clan's will sign players for money just as sports teams do? I know some clan tournaments have cash prizes,so it may not be a far fetched prediction.

To minimo..... was really enjoying our chat and game last night and soooooo sorry it was cut short.
In short, I have now learnt my error of my ways in allowing a 7 year old child to get her own way when she asked to eat a whole box of after eight mints just before bed because "Daddy, its children in need night!".... an hour later and i had my own child in need....... of a new duvet, a bucket and a lot of disinfectant!!!

By the time i sorted it all out it was after midnight and didnt bother going back on.

I may try to get on again tonight and hope to have a great game with you soon. xx

I don't know if any of you have experienced this yet but one of my BIGGEST gripes with COD4 online is amount of times the game is ended early with " Host Ended Match ". It's really taking the mickey not to mention blatant cheating.

I can't be alone in finding this ?

Argh, my last 4 games have all ended early 3 due to host ending and one due to connection loss. Pain in the backside it really is.

We ALL have, but it looks like its going to be sorted out with the update.

the update for the future is going to stop that. It will also stop games ending by the host leaving by auto-selecting a new host to take the place to carry the game on.

Ahhh that's what THAT is. Now I understand better. Couldn't quite work out what the auto host thing was quite meaning however now I get it

I've found a rather interesting roof you can get onto on the map: "Crash".

Everyone knows the one in the beta, but they've fixed that so you can't do it.

I can still get on top of all the buildings on "Crash" - even the massive three-storie building.

I played a couple of split-screen games with my brother, and basically we've figured out how to jump on peoples heads and boost them up onto roofs, even though they are about ten feet high lol

Some of the DS clan know loads of glitches like the one in vacant, because of chrism3391.
