Happens alot in chinatown, I drop the marker over near the grassy hills bit and about 2/10 times it takes out over 4 of them, done the whole team in at the weekend actually, combined with double XP, it was a good boost to me

Finally got a teamkill on Chinatown the other night on Domination. The tried and trusted tactic of starting at A and heading for B. Stood inside the doorway, cooked a grenade, threw it to rebound of the wall and back onto B, que +60. Quality. I used to really dislike Chinatown, but I quite enjoy it now.

Played Showdown yesterday on Domination as well, and came across a guy that was very effective using a sniper rifle. Can't say as I've ever considered that to be a good sniping map, but he kept finding a good few points that were sniper friendly. Must admit, I tend to use M4/toob on that map. If you take the high ground and claim the balconies then the toob is a killer. Anyone capturing a flag, bang. Anyone running around the courtyard, bang. Anyone getting up on the balconies with you, bang. Anyone running through the archways, bang.

I saw someone up on the roof of Showdown's central building the other day - couldn't for the life of me work out how he got up there though. He just ran around the roof killing people inside and outside the building, at will - so I shot him

I even set up a private room afterwards so I could have a good look round and think about it, but I couldn't work how he got up there. The only obvious spot is the high scaffolding in the corner of the courtyard, but It wouldn't let me get onto the roof from there.

^^ Always irritates me when I see people getting into spots that I don't know about. Largely because I'll then spend hours trying to do it myself, without success.

Some of them are rather inoccuous though, such as the oil drum behind one of the containers on Bog. Probably really obvious, but I haven't figured it out yet! There's also an odd spot on Backlot. Someone got up onto one of the balconies overlooking the dozer next to the walkway through towards C. Can't figure that one out and I tried for ages. Someone also managed to get outside of the confines of the map on Ambush, no idea how. Didn't do him much good though. He couldn't see inside the map, but I could see him out of the back of the house next to A, so I shot him.

My favourite one is the one on Crash. Get on top of the building with the satellite dish on it (near C), and hide behind the dish picking people off either with a silenced M4, or headshots with the sniper rifle. People just have no idea where you're plugging them from! Great fun!

Another one on Backlot is the iron post glitch.

If you get onto the roof of the central house and then take a running jump back toward the ladder that gets you up onto that roof you can actually land on top of the iron post opposite - very handy for silenced hardcore kills as people run around underneath. The downside of this spot is that if you miss the post the fall will kill you.

Additionally from the iron post you can jump down onto a flat roof on the building next to the house with the MG.

The problem I have with all these glitches is that it takes me a good dozen attempts to get into any of them and unfortunately the opposition never seem to give me enough time

^^ I've seen that Backlot one used once. Couldn't figure out how to do that one, although suspected that it was off the roof. Sadly, a level of precision jumping that I rarely have!

There's a couple on Pipeline that are useful as well;

If you get onto the roof of the building with the skylight, next to C. Go to the far end, C-side, looking out towards B. If you maneuver yourself to the point of the roof closest to C, you can maneuver yourself to dropping off and rather than hitting the floor you drop into the rafters of the overhang. Again, with a silenced weapon, that one's great.

The other is a bit of an optical oddity. The engine the other side of C, closest to B, if you jump into the section between the engine and the first carriage and then crouch down looking directly at the engine in front of you, if you do it just right, you can actually see through the framework of the engine. Effectively it's like you're wearing x-ray specs, you can see through the engine but no one else can see you. I've only ever tried it with an assault rifle on standard domination, and shooting through the engine doesn't work for me. I suspect however that using a LMG would probably be more effective. Either way, I'm fairly sure that on hardcore, you can kill people by shooting through the engine. At the very least, you can see where people are without them seeing you, which should always give you the drop on anyone trying to take C.

LBP is a PS3 exclusive so won't be appearing on Xbox and COD 5 isn't out yet and is still a bit of an unknow quantity.

COD 4 is a definite purchase. You should be able to get it pre-owned, though to be fair its still popular and as such is still quite expensive, even 2nd hand!

As I've been revising for my exam (which I had yesterday) I hadn't had any time to play cod4 these last 2/3 days.

..But normal service shall resume from tonight

I have been having a lot of fun with me M4 + noobtube lately and all skill that has been lost has returned.

In the Crash map at the ground floor of 3 storey building, all the opponents just barrelled into the entrance opposite the downed chopper and literally walked to the other exit greeted by Mr Noobtube and bullets.

Got a 6 kill streak into the bargain all done with an annoying 12 year old yank yelling down the mic.

^^ My favourite for the tube is on Crossfire. If you start at A just tank it forward, past A and break right, going to the first floor of the building on the corner at the top of the road. You make it to the balcony just in time to see all of the opposition crossing the road at the bottom. A few quick tube salvos and you can pick off a good few of them. All done within 10 seconds of the game starting!

Still a little short of my record though, a kill inside 3 seconds on Bog. Start on the C-side of the map, go through the gate and take up position behind the market stall. You catch the opposition running across to A. It's a fair distance so you just take a shot and chance your arm. Picked someone off with a lucky headshot. Beautiful!

Only fair we do this for speedy as well
