Well I now own both COD4 and COD: WaW, it's just that i'm not going to play on WaW till Christmas Day.

Soooooo... back to COD4!

Is it wrong of me to want to work through the guns seperately to complete the challenges?

I completed the AK47 marksman III challenge and then changed my gun to a G3, is it me or does anyone else think this weapon is a bit pants in comparison to other LMG's and Assault rifles?

Like I said, it could be me being rubbish at the game

The G3 is only really any good in Hardcore modes.

That's what I do too. G3 and Skorpion are really hard guns to use unless you use them in Hardcore, when suddenly they become some of the best guns to use so I complete my challenges for those with those modes.

A quick way to earn plenty of kills for your challenges is playing on Headquarters, especially on Shipment. Play on that map with frag grenades and Martrydom and you'll get your grenade kill challenge done in no time!

Agreed, stick an ACOG on it then team it up with Claymores and a silenced Uzi or AK-74 thanks to Overkill and you are sorted for close, mid and long range combat.

I disagree. Silenced G3 on softcore mode rocks as long as you remember to keep pressing the trigger. I have got SO many kills with this now on Sabotage I remembered why I loved it in the first place

I find Domination the best mode to get kills & headshots on as you can predict where most of the enemy will be & are likely to come from. The spawning can be a bit random on HQ & Sabotage.

The G3 can be good on 'softcore' if you put red dot sight, steady aim and stopping power on. If you can get your trigger speed up you can't spray out a good few bullets at close range, and there's no recoil.

Only the 75 headshots with the P90 left to get the golden Uzi.

What an idiot you are. At least COD4 is realistic. You don't have to use a guns that weigh half a tonne and take 1000 rounds to kill someone, unless you're a girl!

I have played Gears and Im not a fan, but not enough to say its rubbish. You made your comment out of pure ignorance rather than an honest opinion. I assume you like running through re-cycled maps, corner glitching, weapon sliding and doing the same thing over and over and thats why Gears is for you. I prefer to play a game that involves teamwork, tactics, ghillie suits, noob tubes AND realistic weapons.

Sorry for the rant but no one disses COD without a valid explanation!

I would say that the support from Infinity Ward has been quite poor. The new maps they intergrated were a rip off in my opinion and a potential flux of new playlists seem to have just been a myth.

Anyway Im going back to COD:WaW - which in my opinion is also a great game. I have thoroughly enjoyed the single player (apart from doing it on Veteran which is almost impossible). I'll soon start beasting online, whether thats in co-op, single player or even with just some mates against some Nazi Zombies!

Personal lover of the G3 and massed up a good amount of kills earlier on Core Team Deathmatch - especially when Silenced with Stopping power.

The Ak47 is also really effective when fired in quick bursts and is great when you learn how to use it properly.

Note: I know it's very late post, but the damn insomnia's got me by the throat!
