Neither will MW. they'll both slip down and i'll guess that cod:waw will still be above mw in the online charts.

MW2 will be amazing

I honestly can't wait for it, i didn't buy World At War after i played it at my friends and it didn't feel right. MW1 was my first adventure into the COD series and it's one that's stuck with me

Besides MW1, the only other games to have made it into my heart since are Killzone 2 and Rainbow Six Vegas 1

the 1 thing people dont seem to remember is that they a 2 completely different games, alrite they may look the same but 1 is in the future and the other is in the past.

Not quite the point I was making. MW obviously wouldn't stick around as it will largely, be a very similar game to MW2. WaW on the other hand would do to MW2 what MW currently does to WaW, it offers an alternative. At the moment, people that like CoD but don't want a WW2 setting can just plug in MW. When MW2 hits, the alternative is there for those that prefer a WW2 setting. Personally, I think we'll then see the disparity between the two camps. I really don't see WaW staying in the charts then like MW is now. MW won't either, but by that time it'll have been there for about three years.

I don't play W@W more because of the setting, i play it more because imo it's a better online experience.and I think W@W will still be in the top 10 around the time MW:2 comes out (late 2009?)because treyarch will probably release another zombie/map pack/game modes around then. Although i may be wrong due to other releases (halo 3 odst etc)

We're working under an assumption that MW=MW2. It won't be. Sure, the game mechanics are likely to be the same, as it works, so why change it. However, I'd be very surprised if they didn't build in some of the more successful elements of WaW, just like WaW built in some of MW's. As such, the reasons for continuing to play WaW are diminished and ultimately, you're most likely left with the major differential being just the setting. Given the ambivalence around this, I don't think it will be enough to give it the same longevity that MW's had.

I think WaW has far greater support for it without a doubt. COD4 as epic as it was could have been so much better if Infinity Ward gave more support ie more maps, more updates, game modes etc.

WaW has already had numerous updates and the new maps are worth the money. Thats not all, more maps are due in the future too! I love the fact that WaW developers listened to its customers and removed the chances of noob tubing spawns and bomb defuser murderers are also punished now, just a couple of things COD4 should still do!

I am waiting on MW2 though. Hopefully this game will be as good as COD4 but with better support.

^^ Well I can't dispute that. We can only hope that IW have taken note of this. It looks as though they were caught on the hop with MW.

The only things I hate from WAW :

Last stand lasts for entire rounds of search and destroy.
Healing should need to be done in 10 seconds (related to the above point).
Last stand pistols causing more damage than assault rifles.

If those are in MW2 I'll be sticking to MW1. WAW is just too frustrating in search and destroy hardcore when you are the last one in your team and take out people from distance only to have them lie there for the rest of the round thus not actually getting the actual kill.

I can't argue with that. This is also one of my main gripes with W@W. Pistols are like 50.cals when a guy goes into last stand. And because you can be revived i find that 75% of the people that play s & d use it.

I always go camouflage+Extreme conditioning.(or iron lungs if i'm sniping.)

Mostly using the M16 and G36C at the moment to complete the headshot challenges. Only need about 40 with the G36, but the M16 is a pain in the @r$e, I need about another 120.

or in my case 6 kills 22 deaths

I got my 150th headshot with the R700 sniper rifle last night, now I just have to get 125 headshots with the Dragonov and I'll have earned my first Golden Gun.

Sigh, hopefully that will happen before MW2 comes out

I managed 26k/3d when sniping from the 3rd story building on crash the other evening, I called in 3 helicopters

Thats my fave place to snipe on that level.

On bloc I do it infront of the seats on the first floor - you get a lovely view of the whole other side of the level and the other team.

I was checking the stats the other day while waiting for a game and noticed my accuracy was pretty crap. Although, there is one person which is worse. IIRC 855,000 misses not far from the 1,000,000!! want to hazzard a guess

I still go on MW quite a bit, I prefer it much over WaW. I only really like WaW for Zombie mode, MW online is so much better imho.

116 kills is my record, unsurprisingly, on Shipment during a round of Domination. The trick is to get yourself killed just after calling in a helicopter, then hide and wait for it to pick you up another 5 kills for an airstrike. Then use that to get the extra 2 and you're ready with another helicopter. Then repeat ad infinitum.

Good news is, the Dragunov is the easiest rifle to get headshots with. It's the best sniping rifle on the game, by a mile. Should be plain sailing from here.
