I was really happy with myself tonight, getting in the high 20's, early 30's in terms of kills. But that's probably small change to most of you guys.

I will not be back online till probably Sunday night, just so you don't all think I've stopped again. Having a work's night out to Edinburgh on Friday and a house party on Saturday (your all invited btw! Plenty of 360's networked up around the house for some COD4 lan action ).

I don't usually like FPSs but this sounds like it must be a lot of fun to pay online. Do you think it's worth getting to try(i've never been on xbox Live before) or willonly FPS fans enjoy it?

I have just started playing COD4. I've had it for about three weeks but never got past the training stage. I like the new idea of the how many feet, yards or what ever the measurement is to go.

No, I never really played FPS before. I got good playing with these guys and love it now. It's not a terribly hard game to start off with til you start giving yourself expectations.

It's enjoyable. My recommendation is to rent it first and give it ago when all of these guys are on one night and have arranged a night. Then you get everyone!

took part in the beta.. but im now finally contemplating getting it.. is there still lots of people off here playing it often?

I finally got the golden M60E light machine gun!

I'm going for the golden Mini Uzi next, then the golden AK-47, and finally the golden Dragunov sniper rifle.

Its gonna take a while...

Everyone on my friend's list is ranking up-prestige-ranking up- prestige..........while i get all the red tiger weapons.

iv'e on my way to getting the golden Ak-47....iv'e got a couple of guns that or at full level up and a couple up to blue tiger camo.

I can't use shotgun's....every time ive taken a shotty iv'e ended up with a negative score,so i prefere to fight at medium range.

I thought the shotgun was probably the easiest! its basically one-shot-kill, but you do have to sneak up behind people to make sure of the headshot, you can't by any means use one long range at all!

I've reset my rank once, but i've kept at the second-level 55 now for ages, i could have definately reset my rank at least five times by now, but i think its a bit pointless - i'd much rather have guns that nobody else has!

I've got the golden shotgun, and the desert eagle, obviously, and today i got the golden M60E light machine gun. I've completed the P90 challenges, and the MP5 challenges, so i've only got the AK-74u, Mini Uzi and the Skorpion to get, and i've got at least 30 headshots on each of those weapons anyway.

I really think the hardest one to get is the light machine guns - the M60E is bloody terrible for accuracy, and putting the grip on it makes it slightly better, the stupid iron-sights on that gun are awful - you can't see a thing!

I think the RPD with the grip is probably the most accurate gun in the game - even if the stats don't say so. The iron-sights are perfect, and you only need to tap the trigger twice and they are dead! you can take out snipers really easy because its so accurate.

Assault rifles will probably take a while, but before i reset my rank i got a red tiger M14 and M16, the only thing hard about this class is that there are loads of challenges to complete.

For the sniper rifles, i've already got a red tiger Barrett, and about 10 headshots on the other sniper rifles - it should be easier to get headshots, but you just cant use a sniper rifle on every map to get the challenges done quick, so it could take a while, and i'll leave that 'till last.

Iv'e never used the grip with light machine guns as i've always used red dot sights to try and make them more accurate. i'll give the grip ago later,thanks for the advice.

One thing i do like about light machine guns is that they're awesome for taking down enemy helicopter's.

Put a full clip into a helicopter and watch it spin!

New to this game so probbs a silly question but how do i unlock the red dot sight in online mode for a gun attachment.

I think you either have to get 50 or 100 kills with that weapon (I think thats right )

25 kills for red dot sight,
75 kills for silencer (or grip for LMGs) &
150 kills for ACOG Scope.
