For some reason when I try to go online it takes ages for it to find a room and then it just hangs when looking for people to join the room.
I have a PS3 and had no other problems playing warhawk/rainbow 6:vegas/skate/motorstorm all online fine on the PS3 but I have tried last night and this morning but still it just does not go into the game online. Is this due to the servers that I have read about or do I need to port forward a particular port I have a New BT Black Box wireless router but am hard wired to the router. Thanks for any advice. |

I'd love a team death match but it takes about 8 minutes to find and join a game (and making it to start rather than (host ended game).
Free-For-All takes about 10 seconds to find a game. |

Ever since i've had it i've just played free for all's online, what else should i try apart from that? There are so many to choose from!
My problem with Free-For-All & Team Deathmatch is that you are just running around the map looking for the enemy, but with a team tactical game there are going to be certain points where the enemy are going to attack/defend so you've got a point to focus on, also you earn more points!!

Im seriously considering trading this game in after i finish the single player. The online has become pathetic to play thanks to the campers.I know you will always get some campers in a game like this, which is fine if your a sniper or even a rifle shooter, but it seems about eight of the twelve players playing in team deathmatch are all camping: snipers, rifles, machine guns and even pistol campers.
Another thing that is winding me up big style is the grenade spammers. What i mean is the ones who drop a grenade when they die.I don't know what idiot decided that would be a good idea to put in the game as a perk. Another problem is the hit decections. The majority of the time my enemys go down when i expect them too, after three hits, but sometimes i must be firing right at them seven times and they wont fall.I know im hitting them too, the cross on the crossair which comes up when you make contact with your enemy is showing everytime, so im not missing. It is a shame as i loved the game at first, but all this is beggining to put me off of it.I think i will stick to Halo 3 until Unreal 3 comes out on the 360.I get murdered at Hao everytime, but it ain't so annoying knowing you lost to a skillful player |

Also, there is the hit detection. I hope the patch fixes this issue because it really is a major flaw in the game. I'm getting fed up of pumbling a volley of shots into some guy's back just to have him swing round and kill me with a single shot. Also there is the edition to throw back grenades in this game.....tottaly useless. Everytime i try to throw back a nade it blow's up in my hand and i have even been killed because i have picked up a friendly nade by mistake. Despite all these 'flaws' i'm still enjoying the game,i just hope most are fixed in the upcoming patch. |

but the problem is that for every one person who hates Martyrdom there are 2 who love it,i personally use it but only as a last resort, its the same as last stand, and as for hit dircection, its only there because in real life you would know which direction you are being shot from, perhaps they should give the player the option of turning it on or off,for the simple reason if a noob was getting shot and didnt know where it was coming from, everyone would make a beeline for him.

Last stand is funny. The only dislike i have for it is that other players steal your kills after you have already downed one of your opponents.
As for martyrdom, I've played the game long enough now to be weary of anyone I kill. Yes there will be a few times I slip up, but I make a point of trying to avoid running over dead bodies now because about 6/10 people will have that as a perk. It's very useful for people that aren't very good at shooting during the game. It was definitely a godsend at the beginning for me. I still enjoy the game even though some aspects of it REALLY get on my nerves such as grenade launchers. But they're not in every game I play so I don't feel like returning the game. Anyone finding so many faults in the game to the point where it is really unenjoyable for them I would recommend a short break from it. I had 5-10 days of a break over Christmas, and loved it once more when I went back on it

As much as possible i stay away from a dead body after i have killed them, running back over them is just stupidity. I would say 1 in every 100 kills get me with it. but then again how do you know they didnt get the kill because of the steady aim or the stopping power? does it make them stupid perks aswell |

There is nothing stoping you from camping or using mayterdom. Plus if they camp there is a kill cam so you can always go sneak up on them afterwards. Hit detection is pretty accurate it is a computer game its not going to be perfect.

I would say 1 in every 100 kills get me with it. but then again how do you know they didnt get the kill because of the steady aim or the stopping power? does it make them stupid perks aswell When you kill someone and hear a grenade drop or actually see the grnade logo on screen (easily marked out)... RUN!!! Last stand can be a pain, but most of the time when they go down, they usually face away from you and have to turn around... i think this gives you plenty of time to shoot them dead! Never had any faults with the hit detection... its on every FPS isnt it? I have to admitt.. i agree that the throw back grenade option has a bit of a flaw as it does blow up too quickely.. but then again wouldnt it be the same in real life, as a grenade goes off on impact against something like the floor? So theoretically, they give you some time, but ive learnt to just run and not to attempt to throw it back. Campers arnt really a problem.. you just camp too? If you've played COD4 enough times, you should know what people do and what guns they use on each map. I use this to my advantage and do the same.. so if its a sniping map, i use a sniper, but usually use the overkill perk so i have some sort of assault rifle or sub machine gun for close encounters. The only flaw i see in the game is that the perks work better for some people. I think they should be rearranged abit. Ive used Juggernaut a bit and ive seen on killcams it takes the same amount of shots to kill me as it does without this perk. But then sometimes i will try killing someone with this perk and i have stopping power on, i can easily shoot a full mag and they still dont die. Apart from this.. im loving the game as much as i did the week it came out - and im STILL not bored of deathmatches!! lol |

Martyrdom is the best perk in the game.
I love it but still sometimes get caught out by it. I find that people who arent particularly good at the game dont like martyrdom as they get caught out a lot by it. |

The martyrdom perk is anti-T-Bag technology isn't it, thats the whole idea, along with helping the noobs get some kills.
I find it funny, however, how people can be ignorant about the word 'martyr'. I'll forgive the way people spell the word, because it doesn't exactly conform to logic, but please, people of the PlayStation Network, yelping out 'marty-doom' is embarrassing!

Yeah, it's irksome but at the same time I've killed many people that have been left at last stand state too.
The only annoying thing is people with the increased health perk and last stand. It means if it so happens you manage to actually take them down, you've taken so much damage yourself, their last stand kills you with a single shot! |

Yeh, 1 is enough lol. Especially on overgrown in the middle of that creek when its about 15 feet from the ground. I just wanna blow that little shitty pilot up! - but there doesnt seem to be one? Didnt know u could get remote controlled Blackhawks!
![]() In multiplayer, when you get a helecopter, you should spawn in it and be put on the turret to shoot at people.

In the single-player game, the gunfire comes from a little man hanging out the side door - if you snipe him, he falls out the door and that gives you 30 seconds without being shot at, until another guy spawns in the chopper and gets on the turret again.

Also what if you could chose a team mate of your choice to either gun or pilot the chopper or vice versa, then if the gunner gets taken out you could crash land it into a bunch of newbs! haha Or parachute to safety - shooting people as your falling to the ground?

The hit detection is shit plain and simple. If you hit your enemys five times with a strong assauilt rifle and your enemy turns around and hits you once, then it is shit hit detection. It is because it is a computer game, you are right, a computer game which has worst hit detection than alot of other computer games And it isn't stupid when you are in a small room in a house, which you have ented to get some cheep arse camping n00b.Once they are dead you have to rush out of the room at a sprint or due to where the grenade has fallen you sometimes have to back up, which results in you backing into a wall. |

I hate the Last stand perk. So annoying, they get FAR too long to kill you when they should be dead and it basically negates your actual kill.
