I got the required 150 headshots faster with the M14 than any other gun so far - if you're first shot is at the enemies chest, the second quick-fire shot will hit them in the head 99% of the time; same goes for the desert eagle.

M14 best assault rifle in the game, just needs the red dot sight as it's iron sights are pretty bad.

I've stole Andy Mcnabs tactics and now use a silenced mp5. I only play Hardcore S & D now because it's much more of a challenge then other modes. I find that alot of noob's play tdm and it's very rare that i see anyone below prestige play S & D.


For anyone saying the hit detection is fine in this game,go play COD2 for the PC,a game made years ago that i 'still' play. COD4's hit detection is a 'known' issue and it has been confirmed that it will be fixed in the next patch.

Yeah they have confirmed that accuracy will be improved using AGOC scope and sniper rifles.

The sniper rifle one, is the one im looking foward to. So many times iv'e had my sight's 'directly' between an enemy's eys as iv'e pulled the trigger just to see my shot miss by a couple of feet.

I just hope they get it right this time because i only use sniper rifles in other games.

I did also read somewhere that improved hit detection is something they're working on,head shot's will be head shot's etc. I'll check later

The ACOG scope is the most horrible scope i've ever seen in a computer game!

Why the hell they cannot add the orange dot ACOG from the single player game i dont know - you know the one you have in the helecopter right at the start of 'charlie dont surf' - THIS ONE - that is way better than the multiplayer ACOG, along with the squareish one with the red circles - why cant we have that in multiplayer? I want THIS and THIS ONE as an option!

hi just got this game for the ps3 and i was trying to get into a game yesterday just a normal team death match and it kept saying trying to join matches for a while so i gave up and tried free for all but same thing. now again today i'm just trying to get in a game but its not letting me! its been running fine a last week. anyone else having problems thnaks.

There seemed to be some problems with the PS3 online last night, I have seen it reported in other forums as well, not tried it today so I dont know if its still ongoing. Hope its sorted by the time I go on later.

Played this afternoon on the PS3 and it was working fine. Jumped three ranks in three games... Nice. Mind you I had the the luck of head shot kills and completing challanges to boot. I just need a bluetooth head set and then I am complete. When everyone is chatting I feel a bit left out.

Anyone up for a game tonight?

Biggest match ever tonight. At one point we had 15 people in a private lobby! Free for all on shipment was just crazy,and a couple of the boys were pissed but i think iv'e found my new home. It seems that now iv'e joined andys clan that i seem to get a private match every night i sign on.

Tonight we played:

knife's only:- shipment
Snipers only:- Ambush
Oldschool:- Shipment
Groundwar:-Against some over competative yanks
Hardcore S&D:- Against some annoying brummie kids.

Well as much as i have been complaining about the game, i still played it for ten hours yesterday



Some of these americans and ten year olds grind on my though.I have to turn the mic down at times.I do wish i had a strong enough pc to play the pc version instead, as i prefer text chat.

I often mute the players that i don't want to listen to.

I agree that text chat is so much better, so many american's start to insult you as soon as they hear your voice and alot of the young kids just scream abuse down the mic.

The only problem iv'e got with the text is that alot of people spam.

LOL Yes i have come across many like that on the original Call of Durty and quake 3.In quake 3 on the server i play on, it like every regular player in there has a catchphraze for when they kill you, some spam it one after another.I have t admit though, some of them are funny.

Yes u have to complete all the gun challenges. Sniper for the golden dragunov, assault for the AK-47, LMG for Uzi, shotgun for shotgun and SMG for M60E4.

Not sure if they're the correct challenges to unlock the the guns, but u get the general idea.

have you guys looked up the secret rooms youtube video? Its all rubbish except for the very first one. I don't know if it works but I will be trying it. Its called call of duty 4 secret rooms.

Yeh i've seen it pal. If u ever wanna do glitches and stuff just for the fun of it like (i dont do it in games) then i'm the guy to come to. I actually found tht secret room one on crossfire myself before any video was every made
