It is the people that have arguments thinking their mics are off, with their wives about when they are next gonna get a BJ that are the most annoying!!!
embarrasing indeed

In a question today about where the 360 patch was:

fourzerotwo (Comm. Relations Mngr) from Infinity Ward, states that "We ran into some bugs with the host migration and therefore required some tweaks and additional testing on said tweaks so the patch is still being worked on. We're working on getting it out as fast as possible, and I'll let you know when we can expect it."

This feature is set to improve the flow of the game by minimising interruptions if the Host of the server leaves the game. With this feature, the game will automatically select the next best gamer to carry on the hosting duties.

There was a few times that I've been in a game and the host has left, and it's booted everyone back to the game lobby rather than you're own one. I find that strange as that sounds like something they're gonna do with the patch, but I was told before that they wouldn't partially test it publically, so I don't know what's going on. Needless to say after about 30 seconds you end up back in your own lobby again anyway!

I've noticed that too. It's quite therapeutic as it gives everyone a chance to say"For f***'s sake!" before moving on to the next game.

I wish more of you played on PCs. Better performance, both graphically/frame rate wise and network performance, and also no hosts dropping.

Plus I could pwn some of you

Ah when I was reading that I thought, that's nice. We have such a laugh and he wants us to join him.

And then read the last sentence and it was about gettings "pwned".

Please can someone tell me what the hell that actually means? And God please don't say that half of the gaming population think it's cool to mistype owned? Proof me wrong. This is one time I'd like to be.

And then read the last sentence and it was about gettings "pwned". Some people say it means "perfectly owned" but that sounds unlikely.

I think it is just a mistyping, as o & p are next to each other.

Whilst pwned is annoying it doesn't compare to w00t (we owned other team). I refuse to play with anyone who says/types that.

Silly internet slang is one thing I don't miss about Counter Strike.

I know you were. Sorry. None of that was directly at you. It's more at the spineless little kids who make them feel good to have it / say it everywhere on the X360. I guess they do it to wind people up and it works on me! That makes ME the sad one.

I know it was only a laugh.

Thats ok then.

But if I catch wind of it being directed at me, I'm going to pwn you because I am so l33t and you are a n00b.

Ahh, satire...

My nephew got a new headset the other day and went to play in the family section (not too sure how Live is set up but he assured me he used the family area) and got called some reallly nasty things by Americans who couldn't control their tongues. I think it's something MS and Sony need to crack down on

I think its fair to say.. its not always Americans!
I've heard some pretty bad abuse coming from brits plenty of times... mostly Scots for some reason. I've been in many rooms with Americans, which fair play act normal and are talking decent, only to be shouted at by brits, calling them every name under the sun.. so its no wonder they retaliate back!

No ones saying it's only Americans. But there are a hell of a lot of times that they're initiating it not retaliating.

I've talked about people from my own town. And kids in general.

TH14 only referred to his nephews experience.

And TH - I don't think it matters what area you choose for your profile. I think it's meant as a guideline for people to know what kind of people they're playing with. Like family, you'd expect it to be kids and stuff, but it's up to the individual if they recognise that. Underground it apparently anything goes area. I could be wrong in that though. It's just how I've always perceived it as I've never been matched up with only recreation users.

Well at least it's not as bad as them leaving their mics on when they're actually getting "pleasure" while playing the game! And the other day I had this Brummy guy on my team who was squabbling with his spouse over their mortgage... switch off your damn mics!! You don't half get some weird characters on XBL.

Isn't COD4 a 16+ game? I'm not saying that people can be abusive towards others but surely u gotta let some language slide.
