It's just stupid. I hate playing it. I go frag mental with extra damage and martyrdom but it's just too chaotic and random for my liking. Unless you use the '360 degree vision' perk you have no chance.

Don't run around all over the place!

I tend to stick near the open container, that acts like a tunnel, as you can see most of the map from there without being too exposed.

When you spawn throw your grenade(s) into the area with the most red dots on the radar & make sure you have martyrdom on.

As for weapons I used to use an LMG but when you need to reload it's almost certain death, unless you have sleight of hand.

A mini Uzi or P90 is usually my choice due to the high fire rate.

Hi all am new to these Forums.

I've been reading this particular thread for about a week (been reading from the first post ) and its the only forum I've found that have decent people on them always willing to help and not the usual "STFU NOOB" responses of other forums so I felt compelled to start posting on these forums.

I'll say thank you first of all as the little tips everyone has mentioned on this thread have improved my game greatly!

I've tried the standing still technique and the run and gun but I still get my ass kicked. I actually use all of the perks and weapons you list here but still find it too mental.

I might just have to play it more often.

my advice would be to choose a powerful gun with stopping power. (the ak47 or mp5). I always stay away from the HQ spawns at first because you know they'll get spamed with nades as soon as they appear! Also i would equip deep impact(great for killing the campers inside the containers) and make sure to always be moving as this map can get pretty rough at times. I usually finish within the top 2 on every game but on this map even the best players can finish with a negative kill ratio so i wouldnt worry too much

I'm on the PS3, i know most of the users that use this thread are x-box users bar a few but would be great to hook up for a game or two.

I've only played mercenary (spelling!!?) team deathmatch. Have tried free for all at the beginning but settled down to team deathmatch. I have a friend that i invite along sometimes into these.. we try and avoid the non mercenary ones as the teams we always come up against seem to pretty much wipe the floor with us and it doesn't seem as laid back. Has anyone else noticed that?

So would be cool to try other games.


Is shipment only available to certain game modes? I've never seen this one up.

I've only just worked out how to best play wetworks but i checked out shipment on youtube and it looks manic!

I actually finished 2nd last night (albeit on the losing side) with a reasonable amount of kills. I spent the whole game grumbling about the crappyness of the map into my mic.

We play all sorts of team games. alot of the time we end up playing ground war though as their are too many of us to play a normal team death match. Most people are happy playing any game type. If we do different types of games we will teach you how to play it. most of them only take 1 or 2 games to get used to. It's all very addictive

Initiation TDM on shipment against me, redgenis and x-p-d Although if you look at X-P-D's stats you many be scared off COD4 for life

It should only take a few nights to get to a decent level if you are new to the game.

Its best to use the headset if you can so we can discuss what gametypes we are going to play and talk tactics if we do a team objective game

Like i've mentioned I've read this thread from the beginning (forums at work burn alot of time ) so know all about x-p-d and the k:d ratio. was tryin to look it up on the leader board a while back and couldnt guestimate where its at.. Whats it at at the moment x-p-d?

I hope I dont come across as too much of an easy kill lol I'm still learning alot of the layouts but from reading up on this thread I've picked up some good tips.

My gun of choice is the M16 with Red Dot

(promise i'm not a camper... I do try and run and gun till i get to about 6 kills and try and camp but get killed)

my new setup i've been gettin the hang of is the G36c with Red Dot on the more closer combat maps (Vacant, wetworks, and the square with the statue in the middle)

I may take this and end up puttin the silencer and uav jammer for a sneeky profile however I dont mind too often being found out on a map as I enjoy placing myself in a way that I can come from behind and let the other team run back into me!

I think XPD is in the 600's on the kills leaderboard.

There is nothing wrong with "camping" if the occasion calls for it. its not always the best option. The main reason people moan about it is either

a) everyone is camping so there is no one moving about and the game gets a bit dull or

b) people dont know the map/game well enough and dont know how to deal with campers! = frustration

I dont really care about people camping. They might get me once, twice if they are lucky and i didnt watch the kill cam.

If they stay there any longer then that they are prety much dead unless they are very cunning!

Well if its cool I'll mention the one and only place I do camp on which is wetworks.

After I've dispatched my 3 frags in timely manner I lay on the floor just before the steps up to the upper level within the middle ground next to a box so my sides are not exposed and just pick ppl off with my riffle as they pass around the corner. The combo of this and frags I'll get an heli pretty quick and then get up for some kamakazi martyrdom

The wetwork tactics are new (as of lastnight lol) I use to continously do very bad on this but managed to do well with this for once so may give it another go.

How it came about though was I got flash banged and my instant reaction was to go prone. When I came too I was prone in the middle of a load of bodys and the the guy was looking all around him to find out where i went. I managed to cap him and thought "this aint a bad idea"

Also the x3 frag was a tip i picked up off of here so many thanks

Sorry to all the people who've been sending me game invites and i'm ignoring them - i try to return the invite, but i play a lot of clan matches lately, so i can't exactly tell my 5 m8s to bugger off while i play some people i speak to on DS.

Although! i havn't played the game as regularly in the last couple of weeks, and i'll be up for some DS games this weekend for a starters.

So, tonight onwards, i'll put the hours in for you lot.

p.s might even invite my m8 mr chaptem (he is #2 on the leaderboards. but sadly he lost in the European semi-finals last week)
