I still can't get excited by GTA IV- hopefully a killer () multi-player mode will convert me.

I desperately want to start playing Mass Effect, I even downloaded Bringing Down the Sky this week, but I'm worried that if I devote enough time to play it properly I'll lose the small amount of skill I've aquired at COD4

I think the majority of COD4 players will get the DLC - you'll probably find the whole internet grinding to a halt on the day of release as we all rush to get it.

It got moved to the xbox section because the majority of people who post in here are 360er's.

The PS3 forum has like a gizzilion threads on it already so very rarely talk in here anymore.

And no one from the PC ever talks about it (that I know of).

Has anyone else noticed that since the patch a HELL of a lot more people leave the frickin game now?? That's more annoying than having to go back to the lobby. It's like given people a free will to leave at any time!!

To be fair they mightn't know that they are the hosts as its random.

Last night, Minnimo and her knife was just ridiculous.... that woman took no prisoners whatsoever, and I believe "The Human Samurai" tag definately works for her!!! She almost had more kills than the rest of the team put together!!

I hope the other maps due out are taken from the cod 4 single player game. Having spruced up maps from other cod games is abit unfair on us who have never played on those maps before. Cod 4 allso has some good single play maps that would make good use for the muliti player game.

Completely new maps taken away from COD4 or any other game would be good i think. I know it might not be in the theme of the game (which is Middle East and Russia setting) but maybe a Western City that isnt war-torn such as a part of London/New York? An Underground tunnel network for a map similar to the tunnels in Pipeline which incorporates a lot of CQ combat and removes Snipers and Random Grenades from the equation? A vertical map such as Empire State Building style where the map doesnt sprawl outwards but instead upwards.... fighting over 5 floors, each floor the size of Shipment in size.
If they come away from just doing Middle East and Russia they have the potential to make limitless maps for the game and will be offering the biggest multiplayer gaming experience ever.

Wont they start to say to themselves that they could be saving this for COD6 though ? (hope not, but can see it)

Some people will buy the DLC of course but nowadays it's just 8 year old kids who play COD4, lol there are now probably even more mouthy little gob shites who are in desperate need of a good beating on COD4 than on Halo 3 (one reason why playing COD4 most of the time is starting to feel like having a 2nd job) and their parents won't let them buy it on "mommy's" credit card. I won't even think about wasting money until there's solid proof there are rich numbers of games hosting new maps.

I'm not an 8yr old kid, and neither are the rest of the people on the board who play regularly.

I think we get the message Khristbait - you're not buying the DLC. You don't need to tell us your opinion anymore as I will sum it up for you.

Although if Khristbait (happy, happy, joy, joy) is right and the parents of the the awful 8 year olds don't buy them the DLC, those of us who do will be laughing as we'll run into them a lot less.

The best-selling Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is to be re-released next month, boasting new packaging and an Xbox Live token, publisher Activision has announced.

Entitled Call of Duty 4: Game of the Year Edition, the title will feature the original game, as well as an inclusive token allowing Xbox Live users to download the forthcoming map pack.

The re-release will be re-packaged to include the new name, while it also promises to detail the numerous awards the title has won since its launch last November.

The downloadable map pack will become available on Xbox Live next month and, for those who already own Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, it will cost 800 points.
