Shipment is brilliant. I can normally get at least +20/30 kills/death ratio on there which which helps to boost my average. Just grab your favourite SMG or LMG and stay out of the middle of the map.

If you get a UAV, lay low so you can get the 2 kills needed for an airstrike.

I like playing Hardcore S&D but I miss doing the challenges, played some Domination last night for the first time (in a while) and I forgot how good it was, Planting C4's on cars and blowing them up when the enemy is trying to capture the flag

Downpour's one of my favourite maps. The outcome from that map just depends on who can establish superiority over the cooling towers by point B.

Overgrown, I used to like, but now I can take it or leave it. Usually it's now just a sniper's haven. Although the number of times where I've snuck around the back of the map into the houses just by point A and ended up shooting a sniper in the back of the head with my pistol, makes it almost worthwhile!

Shipment, yeah, just pick a SMG and 3 x grenades. As soon as you get a helicopter you're quids in. No one has time to shoot it down and there's very limited space to hide.

A lot of people tend to dislike the smaller maps. Wet Work and Showdown usually get mentioned, and then Shipment, but to be honest, I've never had any real problems with them. It's just Bloc.

Enjoyed the one game i played last night, but got kicked off the xbox after it.

Domination is becoming one of my favourite games to play on COD4

The problem for me with S&D is that I die so quickly, and I end up doing a lot of spectating

I need the respawns that most of the game modes give you in order to get my kill/death ratio evened out.

I think Shipment is an excellent map, well its the only place where I can get 30+ kills in a match (usually for 30+ deaths, but then I never claimed to be that good).

Still it only a little over a week until the new maps arrive and then I guess we'll have lots of new things to complain/cheer about.

I'm starting to enjoy HQ a lot more these days, particularly last week when the DS team (not in the sense of our PS3 colleagues, who seem to be taking the game way to seriously) totally rocked.

Yeah HQ is fun, and you get fully rewarded for winning, unlike Domination & Sabotage.

I tend to play HQ & a bit of Deathmatch to get all the kill challenges (excluding snipers) and then concentrate on Hardcore S&D. The 1600 combined bonus for each weapon really helps with the levelling and makes you familiair with all the guns.

After hating the Skorpion I tried it on Vacant last night and did well with it. With Double Tap & Steady Aim it kills faster than any of the other SMGs so will use it a bit more now.

I noticed you use the big M60 machine gun a lot (At least I think it was you :).Maybe you could try using different guns for each type of level? As you don't always need a big gun that takes up half the screen.

^^ LMGs are a nightmare on CQC maps such as Vacant, Showdown, Shipment and Wet Work. Even with 'steady aim' they're nowhere near as mobile as the SMGs. My preference is for the P90 with 'stopping power' and 'deep impact'. Although, after going prestige again last night, I opted to just stick with the MP5 until I'd completed all the challenges for it. It's a bitch in terms of recoil, but beyond that, it's basic, but a good weapon.

Before going prestige again I was experimenting with silencers and UAV jamming. Quite successful. Tried it on free-for-all and played the Crossfire map. Ended up about 18-1. Picked one fella off from across the road whilst I was in a closet in one of the houses at the top of the map!

Yeah, I've been using it recently to get its 1600 points

I prefer the assault rifles out of all the weapons.

M60 is awsome.... its a bit slow at firing but if you are good at aiming it with a red dot sight you can rip through the enemy no problem!

The SAW is my favourite LMG. It may have low power but the high fire rate more than makes up for it & it doesn't recoil as much as the RPD. You do need to reload a bit more often, though.

I love the sound, look and feel of the Saw but find that it jerks about all over the place and isnt powerful enough for me..... but i often use it just cos of what it is like.

Sounds like a challenge. Maybe we can have a SAW vs M60 cage match.

If you can have multiple spectators (never tried it) maybe we could have 1v1's in our private matches. It'd be a good opportunity to see how people play as well.

You CAN spectate if you come in to the game but don't choose a class. You can follow that one person around for the entire game.

Ah, so we could set the match to free for all and then have 2 people play. The win limit could be 10 kills to stop everyone else getting bored.

Who needs IW to set up new game modes. We've got Hardcore Knife HQ & VIP mode already.

lmao

Any more ideas welcome!!

We can have BETS on who's gonna win the game? Or we can have a wee DS tournament against each other! And work our way up!

Team Deathmatch...... 1 team has to use 1 type of weapon, the other team has to use a different type..... like a M4 Carbine vs AK-47 team deathmatch! Then everyone gets to play!

I've just got back into this, with a brand new perk setup - Sneaky Beaky.

Both myself and JediScho have been using it to great effect. Suffice to say in just 2 hours worth of online play, I've gone from level 47 to 50, averaging 10 - 20 kills a match with only a few deaths per round, completed loads of challenges, and the best bits are, I'm not a sniper and around 85% of the time, they don't see me coming.

Bang bang you're dead, and I'm on a dusty!!!

My kill stats are going up all the time, and so's my accuracy!!! I'm at 10% already (2% up in just 2 hours of play), and my next target is at least 15% by the weekend. Watch out Minnimo, I'm coming for ya!!

I thought you said keep it oursleves, and i prefer to call it Covert Ops,i agree with Blink though it does work,i started last night on 52 and i now and pushing towards 55 and Prestige mode again, and had a game earlier on with a 17 kills 10 of them in a row with out dying 1 uav,1 Bomber run and 1 Helicopter, its definitely made my accuracy higher

A silenced weapon, UAV jamming, dead silence and claymores is such a great setup to use.

Kicked ass on Showdown, Backlot and Crossfire with that one yesterday in free-for-all.

The best bit is that they don't even know what hit them or from where!

On kind of a side issue,
I wonder if any one has any thoughts on this scenario that I have encountered:
I'm wandering around, and come across an enemy round a corner, say, we both aim and fire at the same time, but I die.
On the killcam I see myself being shot without even aiming the weapon.
How does that work then?

Sounds like glitching to me
