I got kicked last night.

Something to do with the DNS. I have no idea what that is but I blamed it squarely on my parents!! (Am I the only one that resorts to 10 years old when returning to folks? )

Finally got on about 12 o clock again and everyone had left. So ended up playing the old maps with Dave, which I must admit, I actually missed!!

Liking TD on China Town. I have a good spot there, and had a 15 kill streak at one point no deaths until the last 10 seconds and someone got me

But was pretty pleased up until that point

China Town is a great map. It was watching people play the same COD2 map on X-league.tv that made me want to get back into online gaming. . It seemed to work better with WWII weapons.

Broadcast is still, by far, my favourite. I wish they'd get rid of the sniping post outside as I've been in a few games and it just turned into a sniping match - which is hardly the point of it.

I don't like Hardcore Team Deathmatch (AKA sitting in a corner & waiting for people to walk past) on any map, though as it's not in my nature to just hide for an entire match and I always end up running off and getting killed.

We'll have to have a few Private Matches on Killhouse as I still haven't played it yet - couldn't bring myself to stray from the Double XP games.

Is Dave not getting the new maps?

I am a camper in team deathmatch and damn proud of it! I don't think it's of any benefit that I help the other team by running around like a headless chicken getting sniped left right and centre so their score bounces up. That's something that's in my head before I decide on camping. Plus I have the patience for it. Not everyone does. But I'm more use sitting still than running around and I will stick to it thank you very much!

Do you know the time trial match you get at the beginning of the single player? Running like a loon trying to get a low time on F.N.G? (I think it's called) That's what Kill house is. Very small. Very CQC.

Will definitely have a private match with you if you are still interested.

Incidentally did anyone check out that video on the dashboard of the COD convention? Though the updated news section? Bongo person?

Ah, so that's what Killhouse is. That is small! Makes Shipment seem like Creek. I got a really good time on FNG but I wasn't online so it didn't save.

Should be a suitably insane locationl for our novelty matches.

My headset died at the weekend as well. Went out and got the wireless headset on sat afternoon. Its really good.

Ended up playing till about 4am on the sunday. I think I am starting to get a lot better now.

The VIP matches would be good too.

Another idea I just had (stole from another popular game ). Don't know if it will work, but worth a try.

Hostage Match: Hardcore deathmatch (with 1 life each - or if it's possible 1 life for terrorists 2 lives for Marines/SAS)

One player from the Marines/SAS goes off with the terrorists and they camp out in a building.The Marines/SAS have to storm the building without killing the hostage. The hostage can't shoot or communicate with his/her team and must stand/crouch (fairly) in the open (ie not laying behind a sofa. )

The game ends when, either, one team is eliminated or the hostage dies - whichever team kills the hostage loses.

I think that sounds like fun!!

well i was on at 8pm last night but i think there were only 2 people on my list playing COD4(usually a full party on round that time) so i thought that we were giving it a rest last night,so spent the night watching films on my PS3

Well I don't exactly have a spotless record my self Voodoo. I shot a couple of team mates during hardcore S&D rounds yesterday, but it was accidental

But I keep seeing guys who wipe out 2/3 of their team when a match starts - like the idiots last night who kept firing RPGs at the start of every S&D round, thus killing themselves and most of their team mates.

I've played a few games where it's mainly american kids teamkilling each other. I think the problem is there is no penalty (other than loss of points) for deliberate team killing.

I'm sure they could implement a 'forgiveness' button like they have in other multiplayer games. In hardcore mode the teamkilled person could get a replay and judge whether the TK was deliberate or accidental and choose to forgive the other player. Unforgiven players could start the next round with half health, limited ammo, pistol only, or no perks as a penalty.

An even better penalty would be for the teamkiller to have their standard camoflage uniform substituted for a giant pink bunny suit for the next round. The team would have no problem spotting the teamkiller and neither would the enemy.

Haha. I also find they have lots of opinions about your "mom". I was on a game last night and I was listening to two Americans go on about each other's grans for literally like 10 minutes. Didn't wanna mute cos it was just funny.

A favourite of theirs is to sing "Stacey's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne but replace Stacey with whatever their friends name is.

I don't think we should judge America by the children that play COD4. My best friend is from Texas and doesn't speak like a total idiot. Although she ahs lived here for 10 years so that maybe why.

I reckon that if you kill a team member, then on the scoreboard screen (press back button) there should be an option to allow all your team to vote that person off. That way you can kick someone off who is a genuine teamkiller quickly if everyone on the team is in agreement and votes it, but if it was accidental then people can choose not to vote.

The vote should only automatically be an option if you have team killed someone tho, as otherwise USA people will abuse it and kick people off games left right and centre for no reason. So you cant be kicked out of a game by the rest of your team unless you kill someone in your own team. Then its up to them to decide on your fate!
