Does anyone know if Killhouse is supposed to come up randomly on Domination?
I haven't had it so far, but it's bigger than Shipment so I'd have thought it was one of the potential maps. Of all the new maps I think Chinatown seems to come up an awful lot. Creek has probably been the next popular, and then Broadcast, but still no sign of Killhouse. |

Microsoft launch Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Live Fire Weekend 2008 Offensive on Xbox Live
Anyone else seen this? A special COD4 weekend is being planned for the weekend of 18 April, with prizes and a chance to play against the developers More info here: http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/865/865719p1.html Not sure whether it will be open to us poor Brits/Europeans though, the link printed in the article didn't work when I tried to paste it into my address box. |

Nope. Free for all and Team Tactical only. The map is far too small for anything else.
![]() I'd have thought it would be better suited to team deathmatch over free-for-all. On a map that small you're not going to be able to move very much, whereas on TDM at least you'd be able to move within the confines of your own team's defensive line. Double drat!

So we get passed over yet again,i hope we get an equivalent at some point
EA charge us a ridiculous price for Rock Band & Nintendo make us wait ages for releases (if they ever come out here).I don't see why there aren't more tournaments for COD4, or any game, on Live. Surely that was the whole point of it? ![]() They don't have to give out actual prizes, like this one, just maybe badges to go on your Gamercard or something. |

Can I ask a stupid question.....
The New Maps mixed in with old ones.... what happens if someone in either team doesnt have the new maps. Are they booted or does it stop everyone playing on a new map if someone doesnt have it? If it is the first one and they get booted then thats ok with me. if it is the latter then that is total crap in my eyes..... why should the loyal faithful who paid out 800MP each for a set of new maps then be forced to have the maps skipped over for old ones just because Mr Skinflint has joined a group of 11 people that paid 8,800MP into MS/IW coffers and hasnt paid them himself. It is better that those that havent paid get kicked from the lobby when a new map comes up (thus encouraging them to pay to get them and stop getting kicked) rather than the other 11 people spending a collective small fortune in MP points for maps to not see anything of their purhcase because Mr Skinflint didnt want to buy them! If you have a run of bad luck and end up in a lobby with a Mr Skinflint every game you play that week then you can kiss goodbye to seeing your new purchase at all for that week. It is hardly making it feel like a good purchase if the odds of the new maps you paid for coming up in rotation are greatly reduced because of 1 person randomly joining your lobby. |

^^ I'd imagine that when Live tries to 'match' you up at the beginning, that it puts you into a lobby where no one has the new maps. For that group, the new maps never come into rotation. If you do have the maps then you go into a separate lobby, where the maps are in rotation.
Of course, how this affects parties, I have no idea. If for example you invite people and then some of you have the maps and some don't, I'd imagine that it just puts you into a 'non new maps' lobby. Could be wrong though. |

So is the new map pack worth it? Do you get to play them a lot or do the old maps always come up more often when online?
Just thinking about downloading them to have some COD4 action again since it's been such a long time. Also seems like my ISP has stopped traffic shaping my Live connection so I can finally play online again

Seems like while my ISP is no longer slowing down my online gaming, they are still restricting my downloads Can't wait for the contract with them to end soon, as this has been the reason I've not been online for months!

Good games last night folks. The only downer was the teamkilling incident just when I logged in last night.
I know it's meant to be a fun game and our clan is not a 'serious' clan like some others but I'm all for fair play. If I end up on the opposing team I don't hold back on other dSpy members and I try my best whoever I am up against. I'll not name names but the player using the dSpy clan tag on the opposing team and teamkilling them was bang out of order. I'm happy to be in the dSpy clan - I like the way we play and work together. We have a good attitude to winning and losing and we generally have fun, but stuff like last night gives dSpy a bad name and we all get tarred by the same brush. Anyway - rant over. |

Apparently he joined and one of his irish teammates called him a name while he was holding a rocket launcher so he decided to use it to kill him and the team.
Not sure that did anyone any favours really as they were a good bunch playing against us before hand so wasnt really a good reason to team kill on entry like that and Minimo gave him a bit of a mouthful about it afterwards to which the response was "you dont bad mouth someone holding a rocket launcher!" Anyway, fortunately it didnt shame the team too much in that incident as most of us had random Clan Tags on at the time and only him and Voodoo i think had the DS clan tags on. Reason being we sat in a lobby for nearly 15 mins waiting for people to join and play and they would enter and the leave again when they saw 6 clan members, so we all chose random clan tags so we didnt look like a clan and the next bunch of people that came in ended up staying cos they werent intimidated by us then. Hope to see you all online tonight hopefully

I wouldn't concern yourself too much about it. They left him bad feedback because of the team killing so they got their own back. What happened was he had joined two matches before and all through both of them they had just laid into him for his name. Now we were all in the lobby playing with these guys for quite some time so knew that they were bantering back and forth towards one another. But to him this was just people acting like a$$holes, and so therefore decided to do what he did. I'm not condoning it but it was his choice to do what he did and no one had any control over that no matter what the clan tag is. As for it "tarnishing" our good name? I got friend invites from a few of them so I don't think it tarnished it too much. Enjoy your holiday. |
