I actually really like her as a person - she seems sweet and less 'OH MY GOD REALLY?' then Kelly...lol!

But I think the mouth thing was her trying to act...hmmm..maybe she'll not do it next week - we can but hope! I really want to like her dances as she seems a really nice, sweet and warm person!

I have never found Karen's facial expressions or anything about her over the top. My partner was never interested in dancing or even in watching SCD until he looked up one evening last season and saw Karen dancing. He dismissed Lilia as "mechanical" and looking bored, compared with the sheer joy of Karen's performance. Karen simply enjoys her dancing very much and it shows in her face.

I do think Letitia's open mouth looks a little odd though, especially in a rumba. If it was a jive I could just assume she was breathing hard but she doesn't look as if she is.

Totally agree. Was looking forward to her performances and the mouth thing is very distracting.

I thought Darren's hair was more distracting...

They all pull funny faces but what about Letitias brilliant white teeth ? If you switched the lights off whilst she was dancing you would still be able to see her moving around with those dazzling gnashers. I am more bothered about her outfits, far too short they just make her look so wide. Put her in something a little longer please.

No, no. I was not very impressed with this topic, being afraid that it might descend into some horrible attack on Letitia. The filling was just to show how this could be rather inconsequential and silly, if this topic goes in that direction.

Actually, I really like Darren as a pro dancer. I think he, together with his wife Lilia, are the few pros who are there really to try to make their celebs look the best they can possibly be...

I was the poster who mentioned Darren's hair in another thread, and I wasn't meaning to be funny I just thought his hair looked "different" from last year and a little odd.

I like Darren and think he is a great dancer and seems very down to earth and supportive of his partners and I apologise if I offended any Darren fans.

She was doing a sexy dance and I think you`ll find that was supposed to be a sexy expression.

I did find the facial expressions of Letitia quite off putting and for me, detracted from her pretty good rhumba. And I agree it was far worse in the dance off - I found myself yelling close your mouth.
Considering she's an actress, you'd think she'd be able to act it a bit better.
I've not noticed any of the professional doing to to a level to distract me, but maybe that's cos their dancing's better!

I did say to my friend that she needs to shut her mush or that the judges would pick her up for it, surprised they didn't!

Don't let this be a Tish-dissing thread, there's already enough all over Digital Spy as a whole - and people wonder why she's so insecure!?!?

I don't think this thread was meant to be a one that dissed Letitia, I think the title is a bit misleading and should have perhaps been "Letitia's facial expressions".

I think it's OK to discuss the dancer's facial expressions as, after all, that is part of the actual dance, as long as it doesn't get too personal.

Vincent doesn't do the faces like Ian or Darren, neither does Flavia actually I don't think....who else? hmmm...I mean I think its not just about doing 'faces' - I don't mind a lot of them, no one wants people to look bored - but just Ian and Darren's look so false and I particularly think they don't do it appropriately - Darren grins all the way through any Rhumba's he dances - whereas Matt Cutler didn't grin innanely all the way through the one he did with Alesha...

James Jordan I don't think does the weird faces - Anton doesn't so much either....

I agree that I haven't seen Anton pull many faces, nor Vincent and Flavia. I don't think Erin and Nicole do either. Brendan is a bit of a gurner though

I hope you realise that next week I'll be spending more time watching for the face pulling than the dancing ...lol

Letitia's not a pro, she's a celeb, an actress. What does she know about dancing? Nothing.
