I saw the results show again on my laptop and towards the end when they did their farewell dance, I saw Stephanie mouthing, "I'll miss you, sweetie pie"

Vincent just nodded and mouthed, "I know... Come, give me a hug"

I was in tears again...

I'll miss the irreverent, fun way she approached the whole thing and I am sure that in spite of that she will miss working with Vincent very much.

Ok back to thread I wonder did Stephanie came out with that remark about being glad to go last night in order to be seen as the weak link in the partnership and all the public sympathy to go to Vincent for putting up with her.

From what I saw of them they got on great all through training

Nah, I don't think so. She might be a diva but she's not a prima donna who throws her toys (or pro dancer partner) out of the pram and strop when she didn't get her way.

She's trying to lighten up the mood a little and it's her reaction to loosing out to another ('better') dancers in the dance-off. She's trying to be gracious and even tried to praise Vincent when our very own Bruce (whom everyone says he's a legend) interrupted her...

So I was glad her sweet farewell to Vincent was recorded for us to see. It's a consolation. I think there was some negativity in some of the thread about Stephanie towards Vincent and I thought "Are they missing the point here? There's probably a big generation gap there for the folks to diss Steph for her dry humour..."

And I am only 33 this year, albeit and probably twice the age of most forum posters here, but being of similar age group with Vincent, I think I can easily take to Stephanie's charm, and Vincent clearly did...

Looking forward to seeing her and Vincent for the last time in ITT tonight!

Hardly the last time even Nicholas Owen and Tarby (aka hardly troubled the dance scorers) together with Flavia and Nicole (I might get a non DUFF celeb in my next life). Came back on ITT several times later in the series
