Are the professional demonstrations recorded after the main show, or before the main show, like it has been said that the singers are?

Just wondering so that I know when will be an appropriate time to stalk when I am there !

James and Ola obviously danced to Westlife before the main show but the main group pro dance was filmed after during the results section. When it's all over and the families go to say well done is the best time to stalk.

Yup, you wait in the foyer where there is a cafe and in the break between the live show and filming the results they give you a drink and a kit kat.

Brilliant! I'm so looking forward to it now. I wish it would come sooner!

So at the end if you want to maybe get an autograph do you just make a bee line for your fave dancer (do they let you do that).

I would imagine some dancers have a very long line for autographs.

..........and did you get anywhere near Matthew Cutler and Alesha
HANN4H
16-10-2007
Yeah I waited for a minute or two to see if others were doing it and then I just went for it. There weren't that many people asking for autographs actually and most were only after the dancers' not the celebs'.
I did indeed get near Matt and Alesha. I didn't get Alesha's autograph but I did get Matt's and told him that I thought he was great in burn the floor, and he was suprised I mentioned it and said how long ago that was. Silly boy doesn't know how much we know about him.
I also got Flavia, Vincent, Tess, Lilia, Ian, Penny and James's autographs. I should have been more pushy and got more but a few of them disappeared quite quickly and I had to go and get my lift.

Oh, and another one . . . do you think there is any way they could atually tell if you didn't surrender your phone to them? And do they allow cameras at all? They don't bag search you or anything do they? Am probably just getting a bit paranoid, I think!

they didn't make me give my phone up but they did try in the beginning until they saw my ticket and that i was a production guest. At least I think that's why they let me.... not too sure though. Other people did have to give them up or at least put them into the cloakroom just in case they went off when it's filming. They put your bag through a scanner like in the airport and you walk through a metal detector.

Ah, I understand. So are the production guest tickets all that different to normal tickets? And does that let you get away with a bit more?

I've got normal tickets but have also been offered guest tickets, so if the guest tickets make things easier for me then I guess they are the obvious choice.

Thanks for answering my questions HANN4H ,very interesting......i'd love to go one year but the tickets seem so hard to get hold of.

I don't really know if theyre that different. You just get sat in different places, not sure if theyre better really or not.
I was lucky because I know a very nice man who works for the Beeb who got me the tickets.

So if you have to give your camera or phone up how do they know which is which (ie who it belong's to)

No idea, sorry.

REGAN- I got there at 3.45 because I didn't really have to queue as a production guest but there was already a pretty big one for the regular tickets. I was told by the guy who gave me mine that I should arrive at 2-3 if I just had normal ones (which he thought was what he was getting me at first). So be there early.

Can you get in early with a guest ticket or do you still have to wait in the cold? I'm going mid-December, so I'm scared I might end up turning purple before the show begins!

I didn't have to queue at all. Just one person was in front of me.
