How can anyone really 'hate' an SCD contestant or dancer?

Hate is a negative corrosive emotion..I could say I'm not fussed or bothered about a certain pro or celeb but I can't hate someone I've never met who has done nothing more than be on a TV programme or in a mag or paper

Hate is such an emotive word. My sister told me when I was 10 when I told her I hated her after a row, that 'if you say hate, you mean it.'

Does anyone here really 'hate' any contestants or dancers?”

Well, since you ask, I think Brendan Cole is a brainless conceited ass who by his selfishness and arrogance has taken all the pleasure out of the experience for many of
his unfortunate partners. His only claim to fame is that he was the latin champion of New Zealand, which is about like being the skiing champion of Jamaica. He was probably the ONLY latin dancer in New Zealand, and my guess is that he was forced to flee the country pursued by an angry mob of sheep farmers!

I get a cold sweat at the thought that he might actually win this, having such a popular partner, and be the first to do so twice.

I would rather some left earlier rather than later, but I wouldn't call it hate, or even dislike.

I think you can identify with, or feel in opposition to what you see as particular character traits of individuals. Why else would people go for a particular celebrity/pro to the exclusion of all others otherwise?? I'm discounting people who just find them physically attractive. I think that is irrelevant when talking about whether you want someone to win/not win/hate/love/like/whatever.

I'm with you Bob and am none to keen on Brendan. But there's only one way to ensure that Brendan doesn't win, and that's voting for another couple that can unseat the Kelly/Brendan partnership.

So make sure your dialling for Alesha/Matthew tomorrow.
