it's fairly easy to unlock this phone. the instructions here would be a good place to start.

although it would be a good idea if you could clearly identify your MCC+MNC codes, but i can't think of an easy way of doing this on an 1100.

ive tried 4 attempts at doing it!

it keeps saying code error, can anyone help me at all?

i downloaded, nokia free calc and tried code 1 and 7 and tried the special code option 1 and 7 now i have one left,

if i use it is the phone buggered? or can it just not be unlocked?

thanks to anyone who can help!!!

If the phone was on virgin you don't need to unlock as virgin uses the t-mobile network. So the phone should work without being unlocked.

i suspect if you use up your last option and get it wrong then the only way to unlock it will be by a cable , have a look at this

I deleted my earlier post as I was advising the OP to post on the unlocking thread and then saw that they had!

FWIW I have two 1100s, both originally on Orange, and have unlocked both using a free online code generator. One no longer likes an Orange Sim, but both are working on Tesco Mobile with no problems.
