No, it works off analogue terrestrial.

So how do you get the Eurosport in to the recorder?, do you leave your box set to Eurosport every night?, and have you set the box to look for GuidePlus via SCART?. Obviously you must make sure the Auto-Off is disabled on the HD box as well.

But if you've got Sky HD, why would no GuidePlus be a concern?, far easier (and better quality) just recording on the HD box.

The Guideplus epg only downloads, whilst the Sony RDR HXD-870 is in standby.
The downloading takes place at 3AM daily.
As Nigel has already stated,is the Sky HD stb connected to the Line 1 scart socket, and is this configured correctly in the guided setup for the Guideplus epg.
You have to leave the Sky HD stb on,and not in standby, and tuned to Eurosport.(It doesn't matter whether you subscribe or not)
In the Channel editor, have you made sure that Eurosport is selected as ON.

Quick start instructions for Guideplus.

Also change the host channel setting from Automatic to manual,it will download the listings far more quickly, than leaving it on the Automatic setting.
Then manually set Eurosport's channel number:410.

With the Guide Plus installed on my DVDR the EPG updates/download will either come via ITV1 on DTT or Analogue just before 1400, 1900 and 0200 (GMT/BST) - no guide info is scheduled at 0700 during the GMTV slot (blank in the Guide Plus schedule).

The British Eurosport download is scheduled from 1430 or 0230 (GMT/BST).

The Guide is compiled in association with Radio Times. What concerns me a little is that the in Guide adverts haven't change to reflect 2008 and that on Guide Plus site, there's been no news updates mid- 2006.

Also notice that with some channels downloaded from Sky, a few of the non-Sky channels, don't reflect EPG updates from the Sky Guide. You need to go through the Guide plus editor to manually change a few numbers.

I will default to DDT numbers where possible, but have to change British Eurosport to Sky 410 from its Top-Up TV/DTT number as part of any necessary tweaking from scratch if I lose the guide.

I have a HXD 970 but can't get it to set up Guide plus with my sky box at line 1 - it only offers line 2 or RF inputs during guide+ set up. I have sky freesat. Has anyone else had this problem?

You haven't mistakenly set the wrong setting in initial setup?

1.Initial setup
2.Video in/out
3.Line 1 in,this should be set to either RGB,S-Video or Video, but not decoder,as this only for an analogue receiver, which becomes a dedicated connection for an analogue receiver only.

If the above isn't the problem, then begin initial setup and guideplus setup again.
