Does anyone know if there was a VT of Ben - no mention anywhere but think that could be because they were written from other Joe fans
Well much as I would love to see the other Joes I shall be boycotting it in protest for no VT of Ben.....He couldn't do the show because he was performing in front of the Queen and they have cut out his VT saying they would have had to show all the boys VT's - what a load of rubbish. He was 4thand many people would like to know how he is doing. ALW did say his showis were all about nurturing and Ben is a prime example of success as he is now .on the west end stage at age 18 which would probably not have happened with out the high profile of ADWD Surely it couldn't be becasue Hairspray is such a successful show and outstripping Joseph in awards.

Thats a real shame Ben wont be on the show hes doing so well Id have loved to see an update and interveiw.
Im a big Chris B fan and hes doing a fantastic job on the tour with Craig and Keith and getting great reveiws for all all 3 rolls, and I dont think hes getting a mention either, it dosent seem fair Think Ill boycott it too

Sadly true. Ben's mum posted on the Angels' forum on Friday. Very disappointing news and an inexplicable decision.

I read that it was supposed to be the final 6, but they have included Rob, instead of Ben???!!!!?????.

Pjb what I don't understand is they actually filmed a vt then decided not to broadcast it. Ok they could have run out of time but again not a good enough excuse. Plus Rob in place of Ben doesn't get a solo song so he isn't taking up extra time!!I am convinced ALW doesn't want any more promotion for Hairspray and considering the BBC is supposed to be a non profit and non biased organisation it is a bad show

I do know (from someone who was there) that there was a good two hours of stuff filmed. The slot for the show is 1 hour, meaning that an awful lot of pruning would have to have been done. It's a difficult process and, to be honest, I suspect that the performances were given priority over VTs!
To turn what probably was an editing issue into some kind of imagined ALW vendetta against Hairspray is unfair, especially as the show hasn't gone out yet, so we don't know what (if anything) is said about Ben.

Not here to comment on any of the other stuff - I can't second guess their reasons any more than you can but we do know from Bens parents that he won't be in the show - thats what they have been told anyway - whether or not that will change again I don't know.

Not here to comment on any of the other stuff - I can't second guess their reasons any more than you can but we do know from Bens parents that he won't be in the show - thats what they have been told anyway - whether or not that will change again I don't know.
However whatever ALWs reasons are - innocent or not - it's pretty unfair when the show was advertised as the top 6 marias & Joes.

Ok I can see your point of view re the editing issue BUT if this had been Lee (Ok I know he was the winner not 4th!) I think you guys would be feeling exactly the same as us. and as Lula has pointed out Ben's mum has already told us that the vt has been cut from the show. It will be interesting to see if he gets at least a mention to explain his absence
Ok ... where's Ben? ... he was the reason I switched on! ... *sighs* ... guess I'll have to make do with Lee ... but it's just not the same without the lovely (fantastic dancer) ben ..

I had forgotten how shocked I was when Daniel was voted off. He was such an excellent singer. Just because he couldn't emote.
