Cost of receiving texts abroad.

If I send a text to a French moblie, could anyone tell me if the person receiving the text would have to pay to read / receive it - and if so, roughly how much?

Many thanks!!

nothing, they pay nothing. they can't stop you sending the text can they so it wouldn't be fair to make them pay.

As Flagpole says, it wouldn't cost them anything to receive your message, but if it's an international number you're texting, it's likely that you will be charged more than your usual rate to send the message.

Hope this helps.

Yeah you usually pay about double and it's not out of your bundle or whatever.

I thought it was odd when someone told me!

Many thanks to you both!
