Hi Guys,

Just thought id mention that the Virgin Mobile deal of 300 texts and 300 anytime any network minutes for £10 a month is simply fantastic.

Im sure anyone that is a Virgin Media customer like myself will have snapped up two of these sim cards.

How can Virgin Mobile be making any money on this deal? Last month I used about 200 of my minutes calling my mate who is on the Orange network. This should be costing about 35p per minute but with this deal I am only down £10 at the end of the month.

A great deal, Thank You Virgin Mobile.

It doesn't cost Virgin anywhere near 35p per minute to connect your call to an Orange number. It will be somewhere in the region of <1p.

This is how all mobile networks make their money. The true cost of sending a text message is practically nothing!

Therefore, in reality, Virgin are probably making a packet on these deals. They're not even giving you a handset, so even more so!

Yes I'm with sky cos I had nothing but problems with Virgin. I gave them chance after the chance to sort things out but everything went from bad to worse and their prices kept going up so I ditched them now I get sky with sky sports, broadband and free UK calls for £35 a month.
