I ordered myself some gorgeous glitter shoes from the Topshop website (Clicky) to wear out this weekend. So far the outfit to go with them is a pair of black skinny jeans, but stuck on what type and what colour top to wear with it all! Normally I'd be fine finding something, but I really want to avoid looking like a christmas tree or too black.

Suggestions?

I would personally go for something like this clicky

I think that blue is the right colour to go for because it's brighter than black but not to over the top. Also if you're wearing skinny jeans then your top should add more volume and this looks perfect

Hope it's of some help

I like this fitted waistcoast:

Add a gold or coloured arm cuff, big ring etc...sorted.

Personally I think the shoes are horrendous. But each to their own and I concur with Donna's suggestion, looking at the shoes the blue stands out most of the sparkly bits so something that matches the blue would look.

Ooo, love the sparkly shoes!

I think the red stands out too so maybe you could find something dark red and wear skinny jeans or something.

Don't forget, when you're wearing them, to click your heels together three times and say 'there's no place like home, there's no place like home'.

I would recommend a white puff sleeve shirt with a little black waistcoat.

As your shoes are sparkely and colorful I wouldn't go too mad up top, keep it plain and jazz it up with jewellery.

Pick one of the solid colours from the shoes and get a nice fitted oversize length t-shirt top. The mid blue is a fashionable colour at the moment so should be easy to find and match a bag of the same colour. You are complete - pretty cheap too

Oh thank god I'm not the only one.

And while I'm here, waistcoats are for waiters and clowns.

Made me spit my tea out! - However I do have to agree. I think they are atrocious. Think she'd be better sending them back TBH, they look like a 4 year old in nursery designed them. But thats just my opinion.

I love anything that sparkles, so thats why I probably liked them

Looks like I won't be wearing them out though, even on a 24 hour express delivery they didnt come That blue top is nice though, might pop into Topshop and see if they have it, wear it out next time

Love the shoes! Also agree that the top recommended by donna would look great.
Forget waistcoats and white blouses - wear them to work if you like, but splash out with a bit of colour when you go out!

Sorry, but i just don't like the shoes at all
I'm very up to date with fashion but definitely wouldn't wear them....I do hope you find a top that goes though!

Like someone else said, everyone has their own taste and that is true...Just not mine.

Enjoy your weekend
