Anyone used this unit on their home cinema set up?.

I have a 6 speaker set up with a Sony surround tuner amp but need an active sub woofer without spending over the odds. I mainly need it for watching movies etc but without disturbing the neighbours too much.
They seem to sell a fair few of them but need an opinion of someone who has used it before I buy.

I don't think you will have any problem with this sub disturbing the neighbours.

IMO you will need to add a bit more to your budget to get something half decent. The sub is an important part of the system, using one that is not capable of doing the job properly will ruin the whole soundfield.

Have now plumped for a Gale storm 8 active sub woofer £69.95 from Richer sounds the damn thing is rattling the roof tiles so ive had to turn it down to half power, can now hear the films better as my Wharfdale Linton XP2's only went down to 60hz the gale goes down to 30hz
