Hi,
When you setup an appointment in your calendar you can set a reminder time from 5 minutes before onwards, this will then ping on your phone as a reminder.

Or if your events/reminders/messages/alarms appear on the activity menu, the method of having them appear as a pop-up is to:

Go to 'Settings'
Select 'New Events'
and click 'Pop-Up'

Unfortunately my phone has been branded by Orange so some of the menu's are different , no sign of a setting for pop ups

on the menu go to "settings",

then it should be under "New Events" - from there onwards select your choice.

The orange branded version of the phone doesn't have the new events menu , at least mine doesn't .

sorry but i can't really help you there then. personally i hate network branded phones as they tend to miss out some decent buttons (i.e. vodafone and 3 swapping the shortcut button for the video calling/internet button) let alone the phone not being unlocked.

the best thing to do is check your instruction book or go and ask someone in an orange/carphone warehouse shop.
