HD TV problems with analogue TV

I have a Philips HD Flat screen Tv and i have a problem with receiving analogue terrestrial channels on it.

On previous TV's i have been able to receive BBC 1 , BBC 2 , ITV 1 and Channel 4 perfectly. Now i have a HD TV i can receive BBC's 1 & 2 and ITV 1 but no channel 4 .

Anyone tell me why that is?? Is the tuner on a HD TV different to that on a conventional TV set?

Have you tried to get it on the digital tuner on the tv? also is it just not finding it at all on analogue,or just not giving you a picture?

According to the PDF the TV should do scans for both the analogue and digital tuners and present you with a full list. If you are only getting 3 analogue channels and nothing else then I'd assume the aerial/coax was at fault, is the aerial directly feeding the TV or running through an amplifier/splitter first?
