Last year I came on this forum for advice on wether to get my daughters DS Lites or PSP's. DS Lites was the majority and can honestly say we've more than had our moneys worth!

This year we've already gone out and bought them a Wii (with sports package) for Christmas.

I am asking for your great advice again except this time time it's for what games are suitable.

Many thanks in anticipation.

I'm a girl (although be it somewhat older!) and I'd recommend Super Paper Mario (2D/3D platformer) and Zelda (although obviously as an RPG it has a story element to it so if that's not their thing....) for their age group.

Mario Galaxy should also be out before Christmas too.

My sims springs to mind although it would be a long time between turns so might start fights.

Wii Play is the best way to buy a 2nd remote and can be had from Virgin Megastore online for 27.99 which is cheaper than the remote itself in most stores. The games arent amazing but at least they are 2 player and simple.

Wario ware or Rayman raving rabbids are fun quick mini games. I think Wario Ware might be better from general opinion. My 9 year old Niece said "this is stupid" when she played Our Rayman.

Brain academy should be an ideal learning tool as well as game.

Mario Party 8 *might* be a fun family game for over the hols. I say *might* cos I have never played it but doesnt hold a high rating it seems in these parts. In saying that there must be something to it if it's now on Version 8. I think it might be one of these games that if you already have say MArio Party 1-7 then no point getting 8 as it's much the same.

You should go to Youtube and put some of these titles in for a quick look.

ps. Invest in rechargeable batteries....well worth it.
