I hope to buy a 26" lcd TV this week. I've narrowed it down to 2. The Samsung LE26R87BDX and Sony's KDL 26S3000.
I've managed to compare/view the Samsung mentioned with and earlier model sony, the KDL 26P2530 in Comet.
Watching freeview channels on both from the same distance, the Samsung seemed sharper with less pixelation. I was unable to get good sense of the sound output from both being surrounded by TVs. On paper the sony has better output than the samsung.
Another thing I've just read on a post on amazon is that the channel change time on the samsung is quite long. Something I didn't have time to notice in Comet.
The tv will be for a bedroom with no seperate surround system primarily for freeview and wireless media centre later on.
Anyone one out there with that Samsung or the Sony KDL 26S3000 to give me their view.

Thanks.

Had a rethink and went for the Panasonic TX-26LXD700.
I'm well impressed with. Better GUI, sound, 100Hz, everything.

Where did you manage to purchase a Panasonic TX-26LXD700 ? (And how much for!) Even Panasonic's own latest catalogue doesn't list it and I've been waiting months for them to produce a 26" version of their raved about TX32LXD700.
