Crossroads
Did anyone here like Crossroads?
I personally LOVED it and it definately shouldn't have been axed. It was getting really good towards the end. The last episode was a bit weird though, never made any sense, but it was still quite funny. |

Crossroads 2
I loved Crossroads and was gutted it was axed but I don't think it was the best series. I loved the seies with Jill, Adam, Jake, 'the imposter' Sarah-Jane and all that lot. Does anyone else think that they were the best characters?

Most you will you probably be too young to remember the original crossroads, with it's wonky sets. Very popular it was at ran for 24 years until 1988.

Personally I thought it was good and it's a shame they canceled it. Soaps are much better than TV series because usually when you really get into a tv show, it usually ends up finishing and crossroads finished too soon, it was doing great, but considering the time that they aired it at it wasn't suprising as a lot of people would still be on there way in from work. It was always going to be hard to set a soap in a hotel though no matter how flashy you made it look. I'm suprised die hard fans haven't tried to keep it going by writing fan fiction.

i loved it from the start
i remember the fuss in 1968 when Thames dumped it and then London was 6 months behind for 6 years until the Wedding when overnight they caught up the wedding was watched by 12,000,000+ it was the top soap but has anyone got a video of the last episode? |

Crossroads
I also watched it from the start...our household used to come to a halt for Crossroads..I loved it..& also remembered when Thames cancelled it.
I dont think they gave mark 3 a good enough chance..a few more months would have made all the difference.

last episode
Hello,
I could supply you with a DVD copy of the final Crossroads, which I have along with all of the final three weeks episodes. If you are also interested, I also have the final feature length episode from 1988, along with the 2001 comeback omnibus and the documentary. I also have some archived episodes from the early years, including three from the 1960s, and three from the 1970s (mostly Christmas specials as ATV wiped all the others) plus a lot of 1980s episodes including the classic "FIRE!" episode and Meg's farewell in 1981. Please get back in touch and maybe we can do a deal. Londis! |

Crossroads
I've emailed you too, I'd love some of Crossroads on DVD!!
I used to love it, in all of it's incarnations really. Definitely shouldn't have been axed, it was offering something a bit more imaginitive and different to most other soaps. Although, the final episode was hilarious, they obviously just let rip and thought what the hell!!

I remember Crossroads from an early age. In fact I was born at the very end of one episode lol
I think what spoilt its return was when Sarah-Jane left. Prior to the imposter going it was quite good. |

What's worse is that many of Joe Public now think they were one and the same thing even though v2.0 went for 18 months while v3.0 limped along for 4 and a half months, approximately the same amount of actual time lapse between the 2.I loved Crossroads and was gutted it was axed but I don't think it was the best series. As a gay man who was apparently a target audience for v3.0 I also feel a little patronised. I was much more concerned about the totty level going down markedly than having a bitch queen kitchen diva as a role model. Amongst many other concerns. G
