Sony RDR-HXD870, can it do this?
Dear Group. If i were to buy this to go with my new TV, and given that i'll only be watching "Freeview" not cable or Sky, will it allow me to record one program whilst watching another?
Many Thanks |

You will be able to watch a analogue or digital channel* on your tv and record either a analogue or digital channel on the Sony RDR-HXD870,at the same time.
*(if your tv is an IDTV) |

Yes, just as you currently can with a VCR - your TV has the tuner you watch, and the recorder has the tuner you record from.
