I have been very negative of some of the dancers, but I have to say my favourite tonight was Matt, from Eastenders. Last week I thought he was dreadful, he had no rhythm and I thought he was very arrogant. I still think he is arrogant, but I have to say I thought his dancing was top form tonight. He had the rhythm and he really looked like he was enjoying himself tonight. What a difference from last week. I don't like him very much personally, still think he's very arrogant, but his dancing was lovely. Full marks.

My other favourites were Alisha and also Kelly. They are so good dancers. I also thought Gabby was very good.

I thought the chap from Blue Peter was dreadful - he didn't move his head once in the tango and he was very wooden. Still, he'll get through cos he has a lot of female votes. He could just sit on the floor for the 3 minute routine and women would still vote for him!

I felt very sorry for Penny tonight. I really like her, but didn't like her dance tonight. Still, thought the tears were very genuine and she's seems really nice and seems to really enjoy herself out there. She's also a great dancer, though didn't think she was so good tonight.

Kate was dreadful. Her foot is better so no more excuses from her fans. She really can't dance.

I just wish there had been more traditional music in the tango. I thought the music Erin and Willie danced to was the best because that seemed the only traditional music. I mean, how can you watch the tango whilst the song "Gimme Gimme Gimme" is playing? And Abba are my favourite band! Yes, missed the traditional music tonight - thought the music was a bad choice throughout. Did like Lilia's song though. Very 1940's, so good for the jive.

Loved Brucie - jokes so corny they make me laugh out loud.. And he looked very dapper too. Think Tess is very wooden.

All in all I love the show, the dancing, the clothes and glamour, the music, the Judges, Brucie..... I just wish it would go on all night.

I think either Kate or the lad from Blue Peter should go tonight, though we all know he won't. I expect, as its predominantly women who vote, they'll vote for either Gabby or Penny or Kelly - a lot of women don't seem to like them - must be a jealousy thing!

Still, roll on next week. Seems such a long time away.

Rock and roll moonbeam.......

As I said, your threads are interesting.

Still think you are 100% wrong on Bruce but agree with the other comments except the Abba tango....LUVED IT.

Keeeeeeep dancing

I loved Matt tonight, I don't think he is arrogant although I can see why people thing he is. I think is a bit insecure and puts high expectations on himself. He seems a bit immature for a 20 year old.

I like Gethin but didn't enjoy his tango at all, I actually preferred Kenny and Olga's. I also thought Letitia made a massive improvement, Kate should go this week, poor Anton !

Penny is actually very well liked.

And there's a vast mixture of people who don't like Kelly - even my bro says she's false and vacuous...

Kates foot is still recovering she has it strapped up when she is not dancing on a sturday show

I don't think Matt is arrogant at all, he does take it very seriously and doesn't pretend to be all bouncy when he doesn't feel that way. He danced well tonight too.

Penny is a lovely girl, pity about her jive tonight, hope she stays in.

Alisha is my no. 1

Most of the music choices for the Tango tonight were completely wrong. How can they expect the amateurs to get the beat or mood from completely rubbish music.
Gethin and Camilla "Always believing" horrible song, completely wrong.
Kenny and Ola "Call me" another horrible, totally wrong music.
Latitia and Darren "Material girl" totally wrong choice of music.

Didnt think much of Brendan and Kellys music choice either for the tango

Absolutely agree with you. The music is dire - it has actually spoilt the show for me and must be so hard for the celebs to dance to. Why can't they choose appropriate music instead of updating everything to current hits or worse.
There is such great Tango music - why not stick with that?

Der Chefs two cents

Gabby and James

Only saw the very end (watching Lewis Hamilton), loved the fancy tricky bits, did lose sync a few times.

8

Gethin and Camilla

Saw even less of this one (More Lewis Hamilton)

_

Penny and Ian

Embarrassing to watch awful in every area

4

Kenny and Ola

Surprisingly Ok but he is not really a performer and that expression on his face, she was pulling him around the floor very obviously

5

Matt and Flavia

Really liked it, I think they may be a contender, he was looking at his feet and looking at her a bit too much though

7

Kate and Anton

200% better than last week , good posture ,still weak, lost body contact alot

4

Dom and Lilia.

Entertaining but I just don't buy it as Meatloaf said last year, trying too hard and as the judges said, routine got messy and out of sync with the music

6

Letitia and Darren

50% better than last week, she held her posture well and acted the dance, lost of footwork mistakes , no heel leads

6

[ohn and Nicole

Fun and bouncy but he really does not look like a dancer and it was very flat footed

7

Willie and Erin

Very peter Schmeichal from last year good footwork but his posture was

6

Alesha and Matt

Still the best bouncy and fast but I though she was not as light on her feet as I had hoped

8

Kelly and Brendan

Probably the best choreographed and most difficult tango, her posture went a wee bit and that was a bad mistake

7

Agreed, I noticed the lack of decent music for the Tango, ruined the show IMO.

There was a lot of Maren's Argentine Tango in Brendan's Ballroom Tango tonight .

Disliked virtually all of the Tango music choices , and some of the Jive music .

Missed Gabby and Gethin.
Thought Penny and Ian were very poor .

Kenny and Willie were both very weak .

Letitia was much better and looked lovely .

Liked John and Nicole, and Matt and Flavia .

Loved Alesha and Matt .

Really??? Yes there were one or two argentine tango moves but I didn't see anything from 'Marens' that couldn't have been from any other Argentine Tango!

You could also argue that there was plenty of Louisa and Vincent's jive in Alesha's, Gabby's and Penny's dances.

I think it shows just how capable Kelly is that Brendan felt he could incorporate moves from what is well known to be a very difficult dance.

i dont think Matt is arrogant at all. I just think he really wants to do well for Flavia. He may also come across as arrogant because he doesnt want people to think he is like his EE character because he gets alot of crap off people about it. But he was brilliant tonight! Also liked Alesha and Matthew

From a person who haswatched that M and K argentine tango about a million times!! Nothing in that match K and B totally diff story and steps!

Agreed with your report in a load of places - except I find Bruce painful - a couple of times he was better tonight though - on the other hand I had to walk out a couple of times because he makes me cringe! He just looks so lost sometimes!

P.s. - also found Kelly a bit more likable this week - only a bit!

Also - not just women that don't like Kelly - loads of boys I know (including brother and boyf) think she's a bit dim and ott!

Gabby a LOT more likable tonight and amazing dance! Alesha AMAZING!!

Loved Penny too - Jive was hard for her, but she did better then Kate who had no excuse for her tango. I like Kate as a person, but as a dancer she is lacklustre!

I didn't say story at all, definitely not , and the steps would not be the same , it was a ballroom tango .
However , and there is nothing wrong with this , there were drops very similar to the moves Vincent choreographed for Mark and Karen last year , the final tableau fro example and also some " pivot " type movemnts.
I have watched the M and K tango about the same number of times as you . Totally different story but a definite hint of THAT AT .

And yes , lots of bits from other Jives too .
No doubt as the series go on to 6 , 7 etc ., we will notice that more and more .

Hello Moonglow. Have to disagree with you about Matt. Don't find him arrogant at all, and I actually thought he was the most improved from last week. As usual nearly all the Tangoes were spoilt with crp music (I expect my other favourite dance the Paso Doble to be equally skewered this year with horrid music choices like they did last year with Camilla and Ray dancing the Paso Doble to the strains of rock warblers Bon Jovi). LOVED Alesha even tho I felt she didn't pick her knees up enough for me. Gabby was great. So was John. I was actually quite charmed by Kenny and Ola. But Ola appeared to be grimacing at one point. Did Kenny step on her toe?. Have to disagree about Bruce, (jokes were dire, but interaction with the judges was great). Can't help but wonder what the show would look like with either Angela Rippon or Michael Aspel, or even Lionel Blair.

I wonder if there is anyone out there who can answer why quite a few couple did two latin numbers in a row and some did two ballrooms in a row? That confused me a little and may be a little unfair on those couples who have had a stab at the two disciplines over the 3 weeks

Der Chef says his "choreography" was pants last year that awful Salsa

HOWEVER I have to say he has actually done very little this year to **** me off.

I would say they are top 5 material

I have to agree with you........ somehow and much to my amazement the choreography and the music worked. Gimme Gimme Gimme a man after midnight and a Tango seemed unlikely bedfellows.........But they pulled it off.

Last year was exactly the same, some couples did ballroom or latin two weeks running.

Here`s a list of the order of routines from last year.

If you click on the season it`ll will bring you season 4 etc.,

I loved all the Jives, even Penny and Ian's, but I think Matt and Flavia were excellent. I am not a tango expert , but I did enjoy watching Kelly and Brendan.
