Thank god I'm not the only one, he irritates me so much now. He needs to drop the act or at least tone it down and start concentrating on his dancing and listening and learning from Lilia.

So glad you agree with me Puffle. He is lucky to have Lilia as his partner, but she can only go so far with him. He needs to get serious, but maybe he doesn't have a serious, which will be useless for the ballroom dances.

Oh I`m sure he can do `serious`, he was fairly serious when the boys were messing around during the group training.

There is only so much cheeky chappie someone can take i think. He's ok but only in very small doses. I certainly couldn't work with him.

I agree. I don't see anything wrong with doing cheeky routines in fun dances. IMO it's the same as Brendan choreographing a few sexy routines for Kelly- all very well for the dances they have been given, but for some dances it won't work. A sexy waltz wouldn't work any better than a cheeky one- they're both going to have to develop new skills if they get that far.

Excellent point Katie. So far, Kelly and Dom have been given dances that suit their personalities -Kelly has been doing sexy, sultry dances whilst Dom has had the more upbeat, energetic dances. It will be very interesting to see how BOTH of them cope when faced with other challenges.

Cant wait to see how Dom does in Ballroom!

I don't like the concious 'cheekiness'.
He's like people who say 'I'm mad me' when unfortunately the reality is they are particularly lacking in a sense of humour.

It's obvious it's an act anyway look how annoyed he got at the guys messing around in their group dance.

I just hope we don't have to watch him slapping anyone elses's bum for a while, it's all getting a bit Benny Hill.

This is becoming a sad thread.

Obviously none of you can stand seeing people actualy enjoying themselves and only want "acting" and never seeing the real person.

DOM IS GREAT....Long may he dance

I don't find him particularly seedy/ pervy, but am not keen on the 'cheeky chappy' act nor the slapstick stuff they use in their rountines.

Actually I don't think we do see the real Dom - just his professional image - it's his "acting" which is wearing thin.

Surely Dom is just performing the dances - latin dances are all about having fun and perfoming which is what he is doing - surely he will do what is needed of him for ballroom dances but as he hasnt done one yet how can you possibly say how he will perform?

I like Dom. He's not everyone's cup of tea - but to call him pervy etc is a bit harsh - I thought he was just in character with the choreography. Pervy kinda implies sordid & unwanted advances etc. Didn't see it myself - just someone trying to make the best of what he's doing - with a bit of humour.
If all the contestants were the same in ability, personality etc it wouldn't be much fun to get on here & talk trash!

I didn't know who he was before this series started but I quite like the guy. He may not be the most polished dancer out there but he's good fun to watch, and I think Lillia is working the routines to bring that out.

If he looked annoyed at his scores this week I wouldn't blame him, they were badly undermarked compared to other routines on the evening IMHO.

Can't remember his exact words the other week during the practice footage, hopefully it was a bad dream, but wasn't he under the deluded impression that Arlene found him attractive and he would be playing up to her in future?

I don't think pervy is a fair comment, but the cheeky chappie thing is starting to wear a bit thin with me.

I like him, his attitude, his dancing and his cheeky grin and love him with Lilia - long may they stay in the competition.

I really dont like Dom, i didnt like him before SCD and thought i might do after this but its making me like him less and less.
I do feel for Lilia in a way because she's doing the best she can with what shes got, and thats really not much especially in terms of dance talent and she's trying to make the routines fit him. But the cheeky chappie routine is really beginning to get boring now, will be interesting to see how he handles ballroom

I like Dom - and I know loads of blokes like him. I think he takes it quite seriously actually, sure he'll be ok at ballroom if he can get his timing right

he's just a proper Essex boy - nowt wrong with that...

he's taking it deadly serious - his face when they were giving out the scores

wouldnt it be a boring world if we all liked the same thing!! its good that we all have different opinions as long as it doesnt get nasty and we all respect one anothers opinions - I personally love Dom and hope he does really well in Strictly

I think to be fair he's trying to make the best of what he's got - he and Lilia know that he can't do the 'tall, dark and brooding' thing so he's better off doing something completely different. I don't vote for him, but I admire his focus and I think that his reaction to the scores was more disappointment and fear of the public vote than anger.

It was a bit awkward, though, I thought, in the men's group dance, when he shown in the film not liking the messing about and then in the dance he was the one slapping the girls and punching the air, which did all feel a bit fake because of the contrast. But presumably that was what the dancers asked him to do.

Personally I like Dom; he's funny (and his cha cha was a lot of fun to watch), but he's perfectly capable of getting down to work when he needs to.

Dom is doing the main presenter's job on the One Show this week - other guy is off ill. Penny is a guest tonight.

I can't warm to Dom. I have no problem with him, he seems a nice fella. I love Lilia but don't think I'll be supporting her this year as I'm not sure I'd miss Dom if he were out.

I think its just made worse by the fact he's done two dances where one of the ways to dance the dance is with a cheeky slapstick side. Like how Kelly has only done two sexy dances, so until we see them do moe dances we wont know whether thats all they can do, or if it was simply just what the dance required of them. Also we've seen clips of him be serious, so maybe ITT etc only likes to show the clips where he is being a cheeky chappie so they can label him that way?
