Can anyone recommend a decent 'Digital Camera' please?
At the moment i have a Kodak Easyshare DX6340 3.1MP and i'm not happy with it.. all the photos i take indoors come out really dull when i upload them to my PC, but they look so bright and clear on the LCD screen when i actually take the photo, and it's so disappointing when i upload them and they're so dull! Don't know why as the room is bright and well lit!
So.. i'm looking for a Digi camera that will actually come out bright and clear when i upload them onto my PC, i don't want to spend a fortune, so if anyone knows of one at a reasonable price then please, please, pleeeease let me know. Thanks in advance!

I recommend the Sony Cyber-shot range - I have a DSC-T7 (couple of years old but brilliant).
It's pocket sized and takes brilliant photos. Think it was about £250. Have a look at: http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProdu...+Still+Cameras or http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProdu...+Still+Cameras I'm not a photographer but have found this camera very easy to use and able to take brilliant pics! There's obviously much cheaper cameras out there and much better ones too but this has served me well

Absolute bargain for that money. If you want loads (ie. more than 3x optical) of zoom or tons of advanced manual features, it's not the one for you. But, if you want a compact that performs well in all light levels, you'll struggle to do better for £75. I own one myself and can vouch for the picture quality. |

Thanks for your replies, are they any good for indoor shots? The main thing i need is something that will take a 'light' indoor shot rather than a dull one.

ahh i see now, the Fuji F20, yes that does look good, great price too! My local Tesco's have sold out and everywhere else says the Fuji F40 has taken it's place, so just wondering if the lighting is the same, or any better as it's a lot more expensive.. but hey, if it's worth it..

Hi
The remarkable thing about the Fuji F20 and F30 is the low noise at high ISO. Basically, the higher the ISO the less light you need to take good pictures. At ISO 100, in a dark room, you either need to use flash (washed out look), or the shutter speed will be so low everything will be blurry. The F20 allows you to go to ISO 2000. At that ISO the noise level (random spots and dots in the picture) is very high, but compared to other cameras in that area it's amazing - The F20 takes images at ISO 1600 with similar noise to some other cameras at ISO 400. In real terms, it lets you take images in very low light without using flash, and so the images will hopefully be brighter and more colourful. review: http://www.digicamreview.com/fujifil...f20_review.htm |

I would also like to recommend the Panasonic Lumix LS60.
It's my first digital camera and I bought it for my holiday last summer and it hasn't let me down so far. Steve. |
