I’m interested to know what exactly is the difference between DVD+R and DVD-R?

they are simply different DVD formats - the technology underlying both is the same. all you need to know is whether your DVD burner can write to both types and what types your DVD player can play and buy the according format.
DVD players and writers these days should work with both kinds, DVD recorders might still prefer one format to another being relatively new still. |
