How long to get an unlock code from Vodafone?
I would like to get my Vodafone V630i unlocked to use on other networks, however it seems the 'unlockers' local to me are unable to unlock it at the moment.
Now, I can send it off to a company that can do it or get an unlock code direct from Vodafone. How long after contacting Vodafone, will it take for me to receive the unlock code? Thanks in advance TerryH |

You dont mention if its a contract mobile or not. If it is a contract mobile and you are STILL in contract i think Vodafone charge £110 (i could be wrong here i havent been with voda for 5 years) If its a PAYG and you have topped up with a certain amount of credit i think the charge is £15. However once you have requested your unlock code it could take upto 28 days for it to arrive

I just did this the other day, I'm on an 18month contract and literally 1 year to the day got my unlock code for free. Took about 2 days before I got it. Otherwise I was told it's £20. |

I got them to give me the code for a phone that wasn't even mine. Well it was, but someone gave it to me. Just ask nicely.

Thanks in advance TerryH We can get the code for you. If we have the code on our system then we can send this to you straight away. We need the make and model of the phone and the IMEI number too. If we haven't got it, we can normally get it from the manufacturer within 3 working days. If you have used the phone with us for less than 12 months there will be a charge of £19.99. After 12 months we send the code for free. You can send us an e-mail to request the code by using our Vodafone Online Contact Us form here. If you include the code FIT135 somewhere in the body of your e-mail, this will come to us here and we'll request the code for you. Please remember to fill in the boxes with your details where the form asks for them. This will help speed up the process so we won't need to e-mail you back to ask for them.
