Hi
I have been watching this for the last few months but have been put off buying it till some hands on reviews were forthcoming.
Can any answer the following.
1) is the googlemap program a moving display.
2) is it possible to get the co ordinates from it to say another web page.

Surely the Asus Eee married to a gprs (or even 3g) interface and using the same type of "Onspeed" compression technology, would knock the Pocket Surfer into a cocked hat?

For portable surfing I think the landscape will look very different by next Xmas.

I'm a bit worried about the future of this product.

Is it still going to be around in a couple of years time or will it have been discontinued, the free GPRS stopped and the Customer Support stopped?

I got mine a few days ago and I'm very impressed with it so far. It's much smaller than an eee PC so you really can fit it into your pocket.
I've read that if you use up your 20 hours in a month they will offer you the unlimited use for £5.99 per month - does anybody know whether this is automatically renewed every month after that, or is it a one-off payment for each month that you want it? I'm thinking I might want more hours for the summer months than I will in the winter.

Coincidentally there was a (quite positive) review of this in Thursday's Guardian Technology: http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology...dgets.internet

The real catch is after 1 year to use it at all you have a forever tariff of £6/month no matter how little you wish to use it or how out of date the browser gets. At a time that other smartphones bundle free internet access into your existing minutes or your top-up.

I found a complete glossary on PocketSurfer at http://www.mydataworld.co.uk and http://mygadgetmag.com
