lol !!

Brendan is lovely & it was sweet he got upset about making a mistake, he doesn't want to let Kelly down.He is the absolute professional & does try hard & show compassion with all his partners. It's just some didn't commit as much & some were hopeless!
So glad he's got a good partner again at long last & i hope they get a fair go.

Passion does not excuse bad behaviour like storming off mid-score.

I think Brendan has been hard done by for somethings... Like I think it was the week him and Fiona were voted out he got upset and had someone continusly sticking a camera in his face and he lost his temper... We only saw the last time when he lost his temper not the 3 ( think thats what he said) other times he'd asked them to leave him alone...

Whilst I'm talking about Fiona, I remember how he had stuck up for her... And how she had said in her last interview on ITT that he was lovely... Sarah fair enough, but I've always had the feeling Fiona and Claire just jumped on the bad boy bully image... It doesn't excuse his behaviour, far from it... BUT Fiona and Claire seemed to make much more out of it AFTER they had came on ITT and talked about how lovely he is and blah blah blah...

So is Brendan the only professional unlucky enough to have been lumped with people only on there to boost their careers or have a bit of fun? Surely in the 5 series so far, there have been other professionals with partners with attitudes like that? I do not remember any other professional falling out so badly with their celeb partner.

Totally agree with you Puffle!! (love your user name!) and MaryS, Fiona, Claire and Sarah all saw it as a platform for their careers and didn't 'realise' how much work they needed to put in...had they not seen the series before?

Brendan has always said he has a hot temper, when did Brendan storm off mid score (sorry if I sound dim?) He does care about his partners and only wants them to do well and dance at their full potential

I think it's like you are insulting Brendan calling him softie even though you meant to compliment him! :

You may want to say Brendan is more gentle, perhaps, but a 'softie'? Gosh a man doesn't really like to be called a softie - makes him sound like a whimp!

Think he stormed off mid-score last series with Claire. It was because he was annoyed at how lowly Claire was scored, but still, he could have stayed and supported her, and expressed his annoyance in a different way. She looked so uncomfortable standing there on her own getting the scores.

According to media reports Darren and Letitia haven't been getting on at all well, as he doesn't think she's committed enough to the programme - but where are the threads slating him for it????

Yet as soon as Brendan opens his mouth....

I'm passionate about my job - but if I were to talk and act to our new trainee like that, then I would be up on a disiplinary quicker than you could say 'grievence procedure'!

Totally agree Puffle, do we not remember other pros and celebs having rows and celebs crying...but if it's Brendan's partner then all of a sudden he's a bully and mean and all number of other things.

I'm sure they have BUT we don't get to see it - it's called selective editing!!!

Was that after his outburst at the judges???

I remember that Tess wasn't really that nice after the outburst and he walked off because she had some snide comments about it... But I could be getting things mixed up...

Am I being really dim...I don't remember him storming off mid score...yes he did storm off but that was after they'd got their scores or am I wrong?

He went after they got the scores as Tess said something snide like "Is that alright for you Brendan" far better he walks away then say something he'll ultimately regret later!

Oh, maybe I was wrong, although I did think he walked out during the scores. Still, in a live TV interview, most people can control what they are saying and do not have to storm off.

For example, Camilla was able to control her words and emotions when being interviewed by Natasha K in series 2, when she must have hated her. It's called self-control.

Ohh I'll never disagree, sometimes Brendan opens his mouth at the wrong time... Theres places and times for him to talk and times he needs to control himself... One of the reason I love him though ... But thats just me...

Nope - just a term of endearment.

I thought Darren was a bit funny this year - doesn't seem his normal bouncy self

Well, I clicked this thread because I thought it's another 'attack' on Brendan. Mind you, I don't particularly like (or dislike ) him as a pro dancer, but I do feel he's getting a lot of stick from those who dislike him intensely.

I think they might even be engaged at one point. But I could be very wrong and stand corrected...

They had been engaged for 8 years (something like that) and broke up during the first season...

The difference being, Camilla knew Natasha K was going to be doing the interviewing well in advance so she would have had plenty of time to get her emotions in check. Brendan had no for warning that Tess was going to be so snide and therefore chose to walk away rather than bite back.

Funny, I've always been taught that it takes a much bigger person to walk away from provocation than to respond to it, maybe things are different these days.....

Same here my mum always told me that...and that if I thought I was going to say something I would regret later take myself out of the situation.
