Tess is often incredibly tactless though, sometimes I think 'good god woman, you can't say that'

there's always loads of pregnant pauses and eyemeets behind her back

But biting back or walking away weren't the only two choices, were they? He could have responded in a firm but polite way. Or if he couldn't think of something on the spot, and few people can, he could have just stayed quiet. Walking off made it more about him than Claire, and maybe Claire also felt devastated at the scores and wanted to walk off, but she didn't, and he didn't support her by staying.

I'm not trying to say that Brendan is evil! i'm just saying that sometimes (not always!) his behaviour is inexcusable and he should learn to curb his temper.

I think it's clear that there is no avoiding the fact that Brendan is a passionate person with a fiery temper. He even said in the show that he's a bully (a bully only at times, I hope).

Brendan obviously thinks Kelly is the goose that lays the golden eggs and it will be utter stupidity to rile this goose in question, so he's trying to control his emotions/temper a little better now.

I am not saying this is somehow wrong or hypocritical of Brendan, just that I am NOT sure for how long this will last. If he pushes Kelly too much (not sure what is too much, only Kelly will know her own limits), then I won't be surprised if there will be some more controversies later in the weeks/months to come about their bust ups.

Somehow I felt he and Kelly are like a ticking bomb. It's just a matter of time before it explodes (and not in a good way). I hope I am WRONG, of course...

Or he could have learnt a valuable lesson from being on the other side of the fence like he was in JTTOU????

Sometimes being put in the very opposite position to the one your used to helps you to see things from a different perspective.

I think that Kelly is a lot surer of herself than some of his previous partners (heck, why not! what is there not to be sure about). I think at the minute there is a bit of circling and sussing each other out going on, but I reckon that Bredan knows that she wouldn't take being spoken too like he has some of his previous partners. I do think that in this power struggle, Kelly has the balance of power - and Brendan knows it.

Yes, maybe. I did see Brendan in the singing contest (though I don't think he's the best singer), and he's got some taste of how it is like to be outside your comfort zone and be exposed to critiques, not as a professional, but as a complete newbie.

Yeah, maybe he did learn some precious lesson or two in JTTOU after all...

The point with Brendan is that all just about one thing: his inflated ego.
He doesn't care about his partner other then them being a ticket to winning the competition. Obviously in this case he also fancies Kelly, but his comment that 'it was hard to keep his eyes up', yuck.. kind of tasteless.

Brendan did say he likes to be in control and finds it difficult with women who is not 'submissive'/'passive'. Natasha seemed like the submissive/passive type of person while Kelly is not.

Wouldn't exactly describe Brendan as a softie but he is definitely putty in Kelly's hands!!

Brendan is a dedicated professional and always gives 110% to everything he does and he expects the same of his partner.

He appreciates that Kelly has thrown herself into the routines and appreciates her dedication.

I would agree with this.

James was also in my bad books for the same behaviour last year”

In which eye of yours that you saw he was horrible to Claire? He was very very kind to Claire, he was always full of praise about her. But what he got was two-faced partner, stabbing him at the back after exit in order to sell her autobiography.

Well said Luckyforest - he never said a bad word about her and still hasn't to this day, shame some of his ex partners can't take a leaf out of his book and keep their mouths shut.

Brendan was obviously taught that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all - something his ex partners would do well to remember, but then again silence doesn't sell books does it!

Did Claire slate him in her autobiography then?

Good grief. I didn't know that. I thought they had got on quite well and that she had equal say in that partnership.

Even though I wouldn't wish it on him I'd like to see Fiona and Claire actually face to face with Brendan, neither ever said anything negative until after the show, I'd like to see if they had the guts to say it to his face...Apart from one comment that I can remember Brendan never said anything insulting to them and stuck up for them... It must hurt him to have to listen to what them two say and I just pray that Kelly doesn't jump on that bandwagon...

Mr Cole has always been lovely.... its just the media trying to brainwash everyone by horrible articles and bad editing of the vt's!!

Did you see the star wars clip!?

brendan is a superb dancer, and if anything his so called "arrogance " is nothing other than a cover up for his own failure and insecurit at times. He s a perfectionist of the highest order and unfortunately his own executioner at times.

One thing's for sure SCD would suffer if he decided leave (not that he is, it's just an observation)

I agree with you there, Puffle. Bar Darren & Lillia and Erin & Anton, nobody else is really well known outside SCD. (This is helped by the fact he has done various other things - like Love Island & JTTOU).

Perhaps there is a bit of media bad hype, but certainly Brendan has not helped his own cause. No smoke without fire, I say.
