Hi folks.
I'm a bit of an old Luddite when it comes to mobile phones, but I've just decided to treat myself to a 'modern' phone and purchased the new(ish) Samsung J600 from Virgin. Bit of a bargain at £49 and overall I've been very impressed with it.
As it supports microSD cards, I bought a 2GB one (can't believe how cheap memory is these days!) as I thought I could use the phone as an occasional replacement for my hard-disk MP3 player.
However, I have since discovered that the phone has some serious limitations when it comes to playing music. Basically, you can only play one track at a time (i.e. it doesn't continue to the next track after it finishes the first) unless you create a playlist. That might not be too bad, but it only supports 4 playlists, the songs in the playlist must be in the root of the music folder (i.e. not in sub-folders, organised by albums) and as far as I can tell you can only have 30 tracks in a playlist.
So all in all, not a very practical alternative to a dedicated mp3 player.
Can anyone tell me if this is standard with Samsung (or indeed any other make of) phones? Is there any chance that Samsung will release an update to correct these deficiencies? I can't be the only person who finds this a pain. Or am I?
