Thanks for that BDGA . What does the weekly slot entail? Sorry to ask so many questions . Pity he can't do a weekly slot on a show in this country. He is soooo busy at the moment .

Male Grooming Brian is the expert!
Saw this-Brian commented that its nice for men to make an effort with grooming but what defines a man for him are good manners like opening doors etc ( sounds like my kinda guy)
Brian was filming in the English Fish Market in Cork City looking forward to seeing that. If you've not been there, its worth a visit there are some lovely cafes and restaurants, the Farm Gate (upstairs) is my favourite.

Thanks very much for that. Sounds like my kind of man too, one who knows the old courtesies.

The English Fish Market sounds good to me too, maybe I'll get there someday.

According to a report from Variety:

http://www.variety.com/awardcentral_...ryid=1983&cs=1

Brian is to help Claudia Winkleman and Jenni Falconer present live and highlight coverage of the Golden Globe Awards which take place on 13 January 2008 in Beverley Hills.

Brian will love this as he loves films. I wonder if he will do the live coverage from Beverley Hills?

Don't have any more details at the moment will have to look out for them in the press.

Brian is indeed hosting the show from the red carpet in L.A. alongside Jenni.

Well done to Brian for getting such a prestigious event to co-host, he will be in his element.

From details in Broadcast it seems the live shows go out on Sky One and cover the arrivals and then later, chats with the winners, plus coverage of the after parties. I believe there is also a highlights show the following evening. The ceremony itself will be covered by Sky from their London studio.

Oh right, so Brian will actually tread the red carpet in LA then . He'll adore that!

Thanks CHARMER 1, the same to you and all fellow Brian supporters.

It has been a good year for Brian, and ended on some high notes. By the end of the year he will have been on ITV primetime time Saturday night shows 3 times during the past few weeks. With appearances on the XFactor panel, Star Traders - where he won a mountain of toys for Children's Hospices throughout the country, and the forthcoming Saturday night show Keith Barry: The Escape Live Sat 29th Dec ITV1 - people will no doubt have seen him in the adverts that have been running the past week.

He has also made numerous appearances recently on Rté, notably the show where he was 'trading up' to eventually blag a new mini to be auctioned for the children of Chernobyl, also a very funny appearance on the Podge & Rodge show ( for any Brian fans who haven't seen it you can watch it on the RTE website).

Finally what better way to start 2008 for Brian than to present 'live' the Golden Globes from the red carpet for SKY One. He will be in his element mingling with the L.A. 'A' List glitterati. Let's hope that this is the beginning of a great year for Brian.

I recorded the show last night as I went out. I had a quick flick through this morning to make sure it recorded ok and yes, Brian did look fantastic . It seemed to me that he had a good long spot on the show .

Looking forward to settling down and watching it later in the afternoon.

Thanks for that very succinct round up !

I have noticed more comments all over the DS forum about Brian this year than any other year I remember since BB2. A good sign that his profile is going up and up I feel.

Brian fans might like to know that there is a three handed interview between Brian Dowling, Brian Friedman and Jodie Harsh in February's edition of New Woman magazine.

It's a scream but potential readers should be aware that it is sexually explicit throughout.

It seems the Golden Globes ceremony is now unlikely to go ahead since the Screen Actors Guild voted not to cross the picket line of the Screen Writers Guild.

Let's hope they put on something for Brian to report on next weekend. Poor Brian, he was overjoyed to get the job, let's hope he gets a good holiday in LA out of it at least.

Anyone who follows the news will have seen that the Golden Globes have been cancelled and so Sky's coverage of the event has also been shelved.

Poor Brian, he was very excited to be doing this job .

It was a sad night last night, and waking up to see the winners announced with no stars collecting their awards and no Brian .

Lets hope he quickly gets another job to take his mind off it.

Brian has plenty going on to put the disappointment of the Globes behind him- he's in Dublin filming this week.
From next week he's presenting a 3 part documentary series for primetime Rte 1

Brian's official website are reporting that this is a three part documentary series called "So You Want To Be Famous?" to be shown on Sky One, starting on Thursday 24 January, 10.15 pm to 11.05 pm for 3 weeks.

Well done Brian on achieving a prime time show on a major channel .

Another TV appearance by Brian in Ireland this weekend.

Brian Dowling is a guest on 'Tubridy Tonight' chat show on RTÉ One tomorrow night 19th Jan at 9.50pm.

In the past few months I think he has appeared on nearly every chat show on RTÉ One/Two.. The Late Late Show, Podge & Rodge Show, Seoige & O'Shea, The Café, The Once A Week Show, and now this one.

For any fans that are unaware, there is an interview with Brian in this week's OK mag. Its a questions and answers one, the pics are old ones and there is little new in the interview but nice to read nonetheless. Brian has not been featured in OK very much over the years.

For any fans living in Ireland, apparently Brian is appearing in loads of TV mags etc promoting 'So You Want To Be Famous?' this week .

Brian fans might like to know that Brian was on Ant and Dec's Takeaway this evening on the 'Grab an Ad' section.

Brian grabbed three soft toys which resulted in a viewer winning a computer, another winning a skiing holiday in France and, unfortunately, a third winning a packet of hair dye! So he did very well.

Yet another ITV1 show that Brian has been featured on. They are obviously keen to keep up his profile.
