In the same style as the Dolly/ Whitney thread, which is your favourite version?

they're all good (Westlife less so) but IMO this song is Josh's!

The Secret Garden version is the original with Brian Kennedy on it right? If so then that one.

I also liked the version performed at George Best's funeral.

Apparently it's been covered more than 125 times!!

Has to be Josh Groban..................voice to die for - chills down the spine and all that. Very underrated in this country but I think that is all about to change.

Yeah, has to be Josh. At least he has the voice that can properly tackle the song. And Westlife just totally ripped off his treatment/arrangement of the song --- I mean, making a cover version is one thing, copying another's is just too much!
And now everyone thinks it's Westlife's song.
GRRR!
BTW if you haven't heard Josh's "Remember when it rained" you really should check it out....

Josh Groban, but then I've never heard the original version. Must make an effort to do so, I bet I'll love it.

Lee Mead when he sang with Josh Groban on ADWD. Otherwise Brian Kennedy.

When Lee and Josh sang together, Josh kept singing "You raise meyup"!

Linkage to Secret Garden feat. Brian Kennedy for those not familiar with the original and superior version.

Many, many thanks for posting that link. That's now well and truly overtaken Josh Groban's as my favourite. The original version is Irish through and through which I absolutely love. Off to download it now.

p.s. Has anyone else noticed how similar Brian Kennedy looks to Bono or is that just me?

Edit: Blimey, you should see how many covers have been done of this track. The usual bandwagon jumpers...

Daniel O'Donnell: Number 22

Secret Garden feat Brian Kennedy: Number erm nowhere

Josh Groban: As above

Am I the only person that is so utterly sick of this song? It's like the fourth most covered song ever or something now (over 125 cover versions have been published according to Wikipedia) despite the original having only been released 6 years ago.

Thoroughly fed up of it.

I've heard Levitation have reformed to do a cover of it..........
