Yeah, that's right. Apart from some regular members along with Mick back in the late 80's-90's, he has just used session musicians and has basically called himself Simply Red and has recorded and toured under his old band name since then, obviously because Mick as Simply Red had a particular following and a particular style of music. It is therefore a bit misleading to say the band are splitting, when in reality he is just getting rid of the old Simply Red name so that he can be a bit more versatile as Simply Mick

Love the new album though, and will look forward to his solo stuff (although as said he's virtually solo anyway, just surrounded by great session/regular musicians)
