Does anybody have a list of songs that were performed on his set?

Also does anyone know if his set is going to be repeated on BBCThree or BBCi at all?

Thank You. I haven't found anything impressive about what he has done. Just like many artists today (Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, The Kaiser Chiefs, Klaxons etc etc etc (I can't be bothered wasting time writing out all the acts here)) he has just hyped himself up, thanks to the Amy Winehouse "follow me drugged up" (SURPRISE SURPRISE) paparazzi PR company.

He's useless.

From what I could see from his Electric Proms show he came across as a "glorified covers band" and with the addition of the BBC concert orchestra it made him sound like a modern day version of "The James Last Orchestra" (ask your Grandparents:yawn

I am just watching it on BBCi now and it seems very chopped and edited.

Why can't they just leave it as it is. What is the point in doing these if they aren't going to show it in full.

Cheers for that, will take a look tomorrow.

Have recorded the audio from the TV version to listen to again, guess I would not be able to do that with the online version

He didn't really do much did he? A lot of his work was produced on a computer and in a studio. All the evening was prepared by the BBC so, he just turned up and was chosen because he had gained popularity over the last year for getting people to sing on his album.

I saw him at Shepard's Bush - I didint go to the roundhouse. He has managed to bring old songs to a new generation - with a fresh sound and a real band - which makes both him and his style very unique ..

Well, I was listening to this in the car yesterday on a loooonnngggg journey and it made the journey time pass in an instant. I came to this table with NO pre-conceived ideas about the man, tbh, know very little about him. I thought the show sounded great, no idea what input he had but, frankly, I don't really care. Just an excellent show and all the synths in the World wouldn't be able to re-create that amazing large orchestra sound. Stunning..

I think the "Don't Stop Me" track is good, its a bit bloc party-ish - but the rest is like someone said, just a covers band, the Winehouse cover of "Valerie" is average at best imho.

The interesting thing about Ronson is hes basically a producer - there are thousands of guys doing this, yet he managed to get a record deal ? Odd, offhand I can't think of anyone else who produces and doesn't sing on their own records.. The only one that comes close is Jeff Wayne but then he composed everything for war of the worlds and far as I know played most of the instruments too.

Interesting review here :

Far from at ease with the limelight, Ronson hardly helped his own cause by compering in the manner of a mildly flustered flight attendant.

I'm not sure how much more than a covers act he is. Watching it on TV, I recognised the intro to one song and my heart told me it must be a cunning re-working of something cool and current, but my head told me it was an exact copy of Sunny by Bobby Hebb, which is one of the most covered songs in the world, ever. It turns out Ronson sampled it on Ooh Wee (I didn't know that, so at least it was educational!) but the version at the Roundhouse really wasn't more than a straight cover.

Candie Payne sang it beautifully, though.
