I'm not sure how much more than a covers act he is. Watching it on TV, I recognised the intro to one song and my heart told me it must be a cunning re-working of something cool and current, but my head told me it was an exact copy of Sunny by Bobby Hebb, which is one of the most covered songs in the world, ever. It turns out Ronson sampled it on Ooh Wee (I didn't know that, so at least it was educational!) but the version at the Roundhouse really wasn't more than a straight cover.
