Daewoo DVD recorder Error message

Hi

I have had a Daewoo DVD/VHS combo recorder for over 2 years.

It has worked fine but now every time I put a DVD/CD into the drive I get the error message NO DISK

This happens with all types of DVD/CD

Tried a lens cleaner but that does the same - can I clean the lens manually like yo can clean the heads on a VHS player

TIA

Paul

Sounds like its had the richard.

I had a DVD player cheapy sort did the same thing, not much you can do really would prob cost more just for someone to have a look at it.

Yep for sure you should get more than 2yrs, it still maybe worth ringing and asking a service agent they maybe about to suggest a better/cheaper wayout.

I decided to give up on it and purchased this cheap one from ASDA

It's pretty basic but with the 2 discs I have tried the results are first class-it has just what you need to archive your old VHS tapes or from a Hard Drive recorder

A bonus it it will play region 1 discs as well

A pretty good buy for less than £60 - probably less than the cost of repairs to my old one
